Thanks Anubis :) I thought the PSP recognizes the transparency by the first color in the color table. I've set it to the same green. But feel free to change, the main thing is that it works^^Zitat:

I've been googling on how to change this but all I can find are C and C++ programming samples on how to do it.
Use PaintSgopPro, PhotoShop or similar progs.
@Anubis (the half ascanded? ;))
Moving my image to the left didn't fix it and resizing the whole BMP to 60x64 gave errors during conversion and thus no new .rco....
any more ideas on this?
I've changed it with Photoshop, you can find it under Image --> Mode --> Color Palett, if you have the programm. If not, I can change it, just tell me to what color.
Allright, let me get this straight:
I use the latest version of that kgzws's Xmb Icons program.
I customize the images, no bigger than 60x34.
Generating the topmenu_plugin.rco (Need a little help here)
Then i use PSPfiler(2.0 i use) and go to hacker mode.
I copy my Custom topmenu_plugin.rco to RAMDISK.
I go to flash0/vsh/resource, and click paste all RAMDISK here.
Exit program. :D
So if anyone can help me with generating the topmenu, i would be very happy.
My english sucks... =/
EDIT: Never mind, i figured it out.
Moving your image to the left should have fixed the clipping problem...Zitat:

I have the program.. I just didn't know the option to do it :pZitat:

*LOOOL*
You know what fixed my icons?
I copied the image into the clipboard, and then pasted it into MS PAINT O_O
Saved as a new 256 color .BMP => TADAAA worky :)

Did you change your transparency color to something else besides black?Zitat:
Zitat von Hellcat
If so how did you do it?
@SkyDx

Hmm, no transparency is black, but I'll try a differetn color....
Your icon stuff looks cool. :)Zitat:

Edit: Just wondering were i can find the tool for it. I searched the topic, no results. Anyone has a link plz?
edit2: Got it!
I just set the background to green and then I changed the first color to the same green in the color table. I will upload a set with normal black, wait.Zitat:

What tool do you mean?
The one to make the new .RCO or one to edit the graphics?
So, I also tried a different color for transparency.
WORKED!
I took full green (#00FF00) as you might see at the itchy border around the "?".
It's done with PhotoShop, wich again gives me that weird .BMP messup.
The "?" to the left is the "copy-pasted-via-paint" version, wich did not work since paint rearranges the pallete entries.....

Attachted to this post is the .BMP used for the working green transparency.
Yeah I've got it to work too (with bad quallity...) this time I used Paint, it seems that the Photoshop 8bit .bmp is not a real 8bit .bmp. And Thanks for the effort Anubis ;)
Yup, PS seems to have trouble with BMPs, at least 8 bit... gotta find a solution for that....
Can you confirm that itll work on 3.02 OE B? I dun wanna brick it a second time :DZitat:
Zitat von Hellcat
best program to resize?
I'm going to try the 3.02 icon fix on my se-c, this will probably make it look like i have disabled all the 3.02 stuff lol.
The screenshot you just quoted was taken on a 3.02OE-B :)Zitat:

Besides, if something goes wrong just copy PSPFiler into the recovery folder, run it from recovery mode and copy back your original .RCO that you backed up before applying the new one ;)
Thanks for the tip! SO, letz go, its time to BRICK !!! :Jump:Zitat:

If it's any consolation just resize to 60x60 to avoid cut off and then resize canvas to 64x64
Finally my topmenu_plugin.rco is ready..... can I flash it wit 3.02OE Customizer?
Yes, it'll work with 3.02oe customizer
Thanks for the answer. Does anyone have a orginal 3.02OE-B topmenu_plugin.rco if anything happens?
It worked!!!

how i thougt... just bricked it  :Argh:
can i unbrick it without downgrading the whole stuff? can i just run PSPFiler from recovery, and then reflash the original rco? And how do i do this? There is filer and filer%. There are two folders, and two eboots. What should i do exactly?
Yes, you can run PSPFiler from recovery and restore a working file.
Copy the EBOOT.PBP from "filer" (without the "%") into the recovery folder /PSP/GAME/RECOVERY and launch it via the recover menu.
It says that battery has to be 75%. Is it because the codes expects me to run a downgrader? or is it a sign that it wont work? Dude, i hate bricks. its my second brick now. THX DAX for the Recovery Menu....
Who is giving you that message? PSPFiler? Didn't know it checks.....
Double check you are not accidentally running the DAX recovery tool, wich indeed want's to flash a complete firmware...
Something else:
As I understood it so far even the 3.02 mod is done based on the 2.xx .RCO, right?
But we could patch the new icons into an unencrypted 3.02 .RCO if we had one right?
I think it's time to run that PSARDumper again ;)
i tried to run the eboot from the recovery menu, and then it said that the battery has to be 75% at least. does anyone try to use pspfiler from the recovery menu, or is it just theoretically possible?
I did so yesterday to check a semi-bricked (only recovery worked, an not even that completely) PSP from a friend of mine.
PSPFiler worked fine even when the recovery flasher didn't anymore :)
(Yes, that PSP was pretty "good" bricked)
I've heard that it should work, just charge your battery.
Mmh, i hope that my psp is not "good" bricked. Okay, thx for all your...whatever. I charge it up now, and hope that it works. I cant see what ive made wrong. just used this standard thingy, generated the topmenu.rco, flashed it, and whoops, bricked. :ROFL:Zitat:
Zitat von Hellcat
Nah, the "good" bricked one missed ~50% of the files that used to be in flash0:/
It was really a mess.
Your's "only" has an invalid .RCO :)
i am using this XMB custom icons in the guide and followed the guide. i am on 302OE-B and no icons are missing everything looks perfect... great work
i will give u mine :)Zitat:

Zitat von SkyDX
pphew, i unbricked it with pspfiler. thx for the help. Could anyone send me his WORKING rco? just want to to try it anyway.. Without bricking my psp a third time
Cool that the PSP is running again :)
Here's a link to a .RCO for 3.02OE-B:
http://fserv.skill-club.com/getfile.php?f=153&s=f867
with PSP FIler, it says: 0 Files copied. Now its bricked again. -.-''Zitat:
Zitat von Hellcat
compressed data of your icon is too big (bigger than original one)Zitat:
Zitat von SkyDX
that is not bug, we can't get original icons from 3.02 ... and i used some old ...Zitat:
