its work in progress, but I would also like to know some more updates or news about it.
I think a full screen, full speed, nicely controlled speccy emulator would blow away all other 60-70% speed emu's that are currently out. Pyjamarama on the move!!! |

http://www.pspupdates.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8638 - I'm very interested too!
![]() Nick, it was called Sinclair ZX Spectrum 16k or 48k, the very popular successor of pretty successful ZX81 (the fully prebuilt and faster clocked successor of the DIY-kit only ZX80). All these machines were built on the Z80-architecture: ZX80/81 ran some NEC copycats, Spectrum ran real Zilog CPU. clocked at a whopping 3.50MHZ. It was released in 1982, same year when later C-64 came out, igniting serious flamewars between the two 'camps'... ![]() The developer, Sir Clive Sinclair's Sinclair Research is still around: http://www.sinclair-research.co.uk/ See also: http://www.zx-spectrum.net/ or http://www.worldofspectrum.org/  |

Quote:
The Spectrum was an English personal computer from the early/mid 80's that blew away most other gaming devices. Well apart from the C64 which had better graphics, sound and a proper keyboard. |

I'm really looking forward to a Speccy emulator. In fact, if one was released, I would keep my 1.5 PSP just for that and buy a new PSP when it's launched in September in the UK to play UMDs and upgrade. Imagine it...Knight Lore, Underwurlde, Dun Darach, Chuckie Egg, Manic Miner, Movie, Highway Encounter, Jetpac, Way of the Exploding Fist, Monty Mole, Sabre Wulf, Skool Daze and a few thousand more belters
Probably need keyboard support for some games mind you. Oh yeah baby!

Any news about this SpecEmu?
I know we got THIS solution already but I'd like to see some "pseudo-native" emu...

Cant wait for this one, probably be able to squeeze every spectrum game ever on a 1gig memory stick - classics like Trashman, Scuba Dive, Back 2 Skool, Ant Attack, Saboteur, Turbo Esprit, Thanatos, Cybernoid, Exolon, Sabre Wulfe etc - hopefully something soon!!!
