Ya the only reason that sony clocked the psp at 222mhz is because they wanted the baterry life to last longer. but when they come out with a longer lasting battery they will start clocking games at 333MHz.....but no it does not harm your psp in any way

Ah, memories. My first post in any forum was dealing with an overclocking question. Overclocking can be dangerous to ANY device. Running hardware at frequencies beyond what they were rated for can do some serious damage. I overclock my PC, but that's just what I like to do.
The PSP's CPU is rated for 333MHz. Therefore, if you're playing something at 333MHz, you're not overclocking the system. You're running it at full load, but that's about it. There have been stories about damaging PSP's when running them at 333MHz, but there haven't been any real first hand accounts that I have come across. It's always "a friend of a friend" who had their PSP fried or obliterated. |
