Sometimes the browser needs a minute to load a link from a website and it seems like the browser is freezed for a while. In that time the Wifi Connection is inactive, means the Wifi LED is not blinking. Is this normal or is my Wifi Router or PSP Wifi damaged?

I made my own homepage. I made a header and other images in Photoshop, and it has a few links. You can get the attachment, unzip it, then stick all of the files in the BROWSER folder which is within the USRDIR folder. The USRDIR folder is in the BRW_GAME folder which is in the main root (confusing I know).

EDIT: I can also add or delete links if you would like me to.

Also, I was browsing though the brower's folder, and I found the sound it makes when you move or click on a link. I noticed that it was a .vag file. . Does anyone know how to covert a file into a "vag" file? I'm thinking since every noise with the PSP is .at3, I think I could covert a sound into actrac format, then just rename it the "vag" file. What do you guys think?

Just unzip the file and copy all of the files (the html page and the images) into the BROWSER folder. You can find the BROWSER folder within the main root folder of BRW_GAME. In that folder, there is USRDIR. It is within that USRDIR that you can find the BROWSER folder.

EDIT: Or if you are just referring to the browser itself, just put the BRW_GAME in the main root of the PSP (which is where the PSP folder is located). Then copy the BRW and the BRW% into the GAME folder.

Default Signing in

Has anyone been able to log in or sign in to anything using this browser?

For example, Gmail or a forum?

Am I missing something or does this browser not support logins?

Edit: Just realized in order to sign in the page needs to support some form of a login cookie. Then you need to have the "Remember Me", or whatever, enabled.

Default Text Entry

To enable ascii text entry, press select twice when you are at the Japanese text entry UI.

Press select a third time to enable ascii input with a smaller font.

If you hex-edit the .vag file you will see a reference to a .wav file in the header... Maybe it's just a modified .wav file?

If you just want to turn the sounds off, replace the .vag files with 0-byte files, and the browser will still load, it'll just be quiet.

Yea someone needs to make it so its in english, there has to be some hex edit to make it so you dont have to click select 3 times, and maybe its a simple switch since english exists in there.

I got it to go to Fugimax's PSP Portal, but had trouble signing into anything you need a password for...

For example, using mobile MSN Messenger, once I am able to sign in, and click on Login... the browser just sits there and doesn't reload by itself like the wipeout browser will.

I can tell it accepted my login/password, because my desktop PC will indicate I have signed in on another computer, but that's it, it goes nowhere past that.

Also using the O key for entry instead of the normal X is maddening...

And what does the X do, other than make a cancel noise beep...

And so, I have to give it an "F" it's awful right now... No back or forward buttons anywhere??? What's with that?

The ONLY good point of it is the speed. You can certainly get frustrated SO much faster now.

X acts as O...Maybe since this has a .prx browser file, someone can work off that to make a good homebrew browser?
