Default My psp get's warm/hot during running homebrew.. Normal ?

Hi,

When i run homebrew , my psp get hot/warm on the left side ( on the side of my left hand )

Is this normal or is my CPU overheating .. is this becouse of overcloacking ?

I don't know how you managed to overclock it as it isn't possible yet, if at all. Though possibly you had the CPU clocked at it's official max operating frequency rather than being UNDERclocked.

I wouldn't be too worried. Is it hot enough to burn your hand?

Nah , it aint that hot , not even enough in 100 years to burn my hand , it "cool hotness "

yeah i get worried about running at 333 as well...does anyone know if that has negative effects?

it sounds like it's not acting out of character for a gaming system... where there's engergy, and electricity, there will be heat...

and by the way, running your PSP at 333Mhz, is not overclocking, as the PSP is built to run that fast...

its could be that the memory stick has to be accessed a lot

Yes indeed on the memorystick side ... and indeed the memstick is almost all the time being accesd ... can that cause the hotness ?

Turn off your WLAN switch. If that doesn't solve the problem then it has to deal with the memory card being accessed.

I get small electrical discharges in my right hand. I think its cause my hands get real sweaty when I play. Its not that much of a discharge, its a very very dim feeling, and my right hand gets numb after 10-15 mins of playing. A little heating is nothing to worry about.
