Okay, i have a 2.80 psp. I edited flash0 so i could change the wavy bg. Idont want homebrew, so i wanna upgrde to 3.00. Is it afe or will it brick? please, if not, what do i do??

You don't want homebrew? I don't see any other use for the PSP except homebrew and ISO's.

My S key is really broken lol. I HAVE reset to default settings, and the themes are still there, how can i upgrade without a rick, if it brick at all. I don't want to risk trying, then having to send it to sony

There's always a risk when you update or downgrade a firmware.

Just follow the instructions carefully and makes sure you are hooked up to a stable power source. You should dramatically reduce your brick risk if you follow instructions properly.

during an update, I believe the flash0 is formatted, meaning that no, any modifications you have made to the flash0 would not matter.
