New Choice for 2.01+

I am looking at bringing back Choice as I still have the code and still all there and working still.

the New Choice will be designed for organizing the homebrew as I have seen how long the list gets in the game folder and think It needs choice to organize it to make selection quicker by grouping the homebrew colection in groups

I plan on doing choice for my own use and would just like to know would you like me to make it for every one, do you think it is needed

I think multiple choices for a menu is always a good thing. I always liked the original 'Choice' for the Eloader.

A simple file menu choice instead of the desktop version.

I quite like the original choice my selft, it was based on the same design princables of apple's frow row menu selecting.

I have had a quick look at listing the files and discovered that the sce function with eboot dosn't work so be looking at using the tiffsdk for file access with eboot

seems like the sceIoDread don't work for 2.80 so, yet the emenu seems to be using it, it is the same code I have allways used so know that the function that uses the sceIoDread in it to generate a list of files works but seems not to work for me on 2.80 yet worked on 2.00 so be asking fanjita if he can teel me why sceIoDread is not working as it may not be supported yet

they is another way of doing a menu, list is pulled from a database file
a database may be the only best way of doing choice that will organize homebrew as eboot files will only have the name not caegory or pegi infomation

The person who came out with that simply made a mistake, 1080i = 540p
i is interlace
p is progressive

TV broadcast are using 1080i50/1080i60 format as the TV will convert it to 1080p25/1080p30 so DHTV can be upgraded in the future to full spec HDTV

1080p50/1080p60 and that will be somthink to see, movement will be smooth look

be nice to watch a film in 1080p60 format tho, imaging the movment. films like speed, only if we were there now with 1080p60 HDTV

back to choice, I have desided i will use a database file, simple coma delimited file and would sovle speed issues as no duo access will be needed.

also using a database file one can rename game titles to there own liking.

what you think, do you think a database file would be better than accessing the duo for every file

if all gose well and works out it will be the new choice to replace the old choice

one of the things I am looking is anti-stealer were an encrypted database of homebrew is used to see who developed it.
