Customize FW Emulated Through Devhook

In this guide I will show you several ways of customizing your emulated 3.01 through devhook. These methods have been tested by me on 2.71 and work fine.

CONTENTS

Gameboots
GAMEBOOTS.

1.Enable USB connection and find the dh folder in the ROOT of your Memory Stick.

2.Click on it and fin the folder "301" and got into "f0" then "vsh" then "resource". It should look like this.

3. Get your gameboot which should be a .pmf. QJ DOES NOT allow gameboots to be linked or hosted here so please don't.

4. Copy and Paste it into "resource". Then copy the original "gameboot.pmf" onto your desktop incase anything goes wrong. Then rename your custom boot to "gameboot" not speech marks of course.

5. No flashing should be needed. I will work instantly. Just boot up a UMD or a HB and your gameboot should play. If it doesn't your gameboot might be corrupted or just wrong, it's luck of the draw.

6. Enjoy your custom gameboot, rember it will only work when booting things from 3.01!!!

Custom Theme
CUSTOM THEME.

FOR PREVIEW SEE PIC BELOW.

1.Enable USB and go into the same folder as above. X:/dh/301/f0/vsh/resource.

2. You should see something like this.

3.You are looking for the .bmp called "01-12". You see at 3.01, all the themes are merged into one image, unlike previous FW's. Make sure your custom theme is the exact amount of bytes as the current one and the same dimensions or it will not work.

4. I use a very cool one which works perfectly which can be found Here. Once you have your .bmp copy it to the resource folder and rename it "01-12.bmp" without the speech marks. Make sure to make a back up of the original.

5. Boot up devhook and emulate 3.01 again as this does not take immediate effect. Then, got to Theme and hopefully your custom theme should be there!

For People who have 01-12.bmp!!!

Font
FONTS.

If your having trouble finding fonts already in the right format, I recommend Birdman's Font Packs. Find them on dl.qj.net

1. Enable USB and go to your ROOT. As before go to X:/dh/301/f0 but this time go to the "font" folder.

You should see something like this:

2. Grap a font from some where like Birdman's Font Pack and get the orignal font file which should be called "Itn0.pgf" Delete and Back up your old Itn0.pgf and replace it with the new one.

3. Then run up devhook and boot up 3.01. Your font should be sucessfully installed!! If it doesn't come up, make sure you used the write file and named it properly.

SCREENSHOT APP.
1. Very Simple, just download this.Then select the drive of your PSP and click install. Then load up devhook and boot up 3.01. Press the little Music Note button and a screenshot of your PSP should be taken!! You'll find it in the "Capture" folder in PHOTO. Thanks to Sony PSP for the installer.

At then end of it all, your PSP Should look something like this!!!

Us HEN-ers haven't really been reading much about other mods for DH, because most assume it's 1.5 only. I just added a font, and it looks awesome now! Thanks for clearing this up, and credit to the original creator/finder of all of this :P
