ike homebrew apps, emus, etc.? I'm going to exchange my PSP (3.01) for a 2.71 PSP. But I'm only going to trade if 2.71 allows me to use stuff like that.

2.71 (TA or non-TA) FW can be downgraded to 1.5 and then from there you can upgrade to the custom firmwares (3.03 OE-A). Custom firmware can run homebrew apps.

If you want to play safe however, you can always use HEN-D for the 2.71 (if you own a TA) and emulate devhook from there.

I suggest you go read the FAQs scattered around the forums... The search function is a very useful tool..

Man you can do alot know Use HEND to run almost all homebrew. Or run devhook to emulate 1.50. Or downgrade to 1.50 with generic downgrader even if you have TA-082!! Best of luck!
