2.0/2.01 Easy Downgrader

1. Copy all content of eloader099.zip to the root of your memory stick.

2. Next open the 201DG.zip file and copy the PSP folder to the root of your memory stick.

3. Next copy the v1.5 Update EBOOT to ms0:\psp\game\update\
You may need to create the UPDATE folder

4. Now run the downgrader via eLoader.

5. To downgrade, you need to select the set to v1.00 option (the Circle button).
This will fake your PSP to version 1.00.

6.Once you've completed the process, you can run the v1.5 Update EBOOT, directly from your PSP's

having problem with step 4. (run the downgrader via eloader)
i cant seem to use eloader. how to use eloader actually?

also, i've ttried the MPHdowngrader, i'm also stuck at the browse to the tiff file step.. coz there's no photos showing up in the psp photo view. i've chk and there're files in the photo folder via USB connection but on psp there're none.

any feedback? thanks.. i'm trying to downgrade 2.00 to 1.50

For the one on the guide there should be a folder under Photo called eloader or along the lines of that. Or you could run GTA to get it to enter eloader.

don have GTA, so i'm going the photo route.
yup there's a subfolder eLoader099 under Photo in xmb.. but it always says 0 images. and pressing O will show "There are no images".

any ohter ideas?

Could try a older eloader.

0.9.8 was the one used when it came out. Look Here

So just replace the photo files with 0.9.8 or higher.

yup have tried that too that's the first i tried. doesn't work so i tried 099. same thing.

now i suspect if the verison 2.00 is the real 2.00? is there a way to verify?
it use devhook previously but i've revert back to 2.00 and formatted ms. bootup everytime it goes to 2.00
is that a sure-fire way of verifying the psp is 2.00?

Don't worry if its working its real. I recommend you update to 2.71 or 2.80 and downgrade from there.

between 2.71 and 2.8 (it's anon-TA board) which version to downgrade from is the safest?

2.8 but to warn you HEN can be harder to start on 2.8

from general experience (or your own experience) usually take how many tries for hen to start?
success rate as good as updating to 3.xxOE? i've done few times updating to 3.xxOE so i feel quite confident. but this HEN thing is all new to me..

Hen should within the first 1 - 15 tries, as for upgrading to OE its very safe as long as you follow the directions correctly same goes for downgrading.

Hi, I'm getting the error message "the game could not be started. (80020148)" when trying to run the downgrader. I used the preload folder and dropped it into the update folder so I do have the two pbp files "update" and "eboot" what am I doing wrong?

Make sure HEN in enabled. If you get "Game Cannot be Started" It did not.

got it, so run hen first, get the crazy colors, (blue i'm assuming) and then try running the downgrader?

OH NOES... I think. Ran the 2.71 downgrader and made it to the press x to complete. The screen has been black for almost 1/2 an hour... brightness button will not work. Did I fry this?

I guess you have a TA-82 and you ran a non TA-82 compatible downgrade.

Did you check what motherboard you had before downgrading?

I did, and it has the numbers on it something like IC1003. Is there hope or is it bricked?

The 1.5 enabler will tell you if you can run 1.5 or not. If it says you cannot press X to alter keys, don't continue till it says your settings will run 1.5

Thats the main reason you probably bricked if you did use the TA-82 or TA-86 Guide.

You can send it into Sony if its still under warranty. (Within one year from purchase)

Or look into getting a modchip.

That will work fine. Don't let this one brick discourage you if you ever wanna downgrade again. Its very safe but you have to follow the directions to a tee.

I have downgraded plenty of PSP's on all versions.

i have a little problem i did everything with the files correctly(or so i think) and when i try to load gta it says error loading and then loads a new game and just plays. idk what to do any help?

Is your GTA LCS patched or un-patched?

Format your memory stick through the PSP and copy the files over again.

Double check your copying the files over correctly.

PSP folder to X:/

Also make sure your PSP is 3.03

i just re did everything and it still gives me the error message saying "load failed. save data is corrupted" then proceeds to load a new game.
