When you dragged and dropped the psp folder.

You clicked "Yes To All" when it asked you would you like to over wright?

I can't think of much more, maybe its a faulty UMD? Does it usually run saves fine for you?

Also after running GTA check your system info and see if it changed to 3.03 HEN, if so continue on with the guide.

The only thing I understand this sounds like is a patched GTA LCS but you said it has the 2.00 Update under the Game Menu.

yea idk if i put like a saved game in the folder it runs the saved game and doesnt have a problem of course thats not what i want, maybe ill try another disk unless anyone else can think of anything.

Ya I can't think of much else. But after attempting to run the save files go to the XMB and see if your firmware version changed to 3.03 HEN, if so continue with the guide.

I followed the help file step by step...
I copied all the stuff onto my memory stick and then loaded with GTA. screen went blank, then blue like help file says, then rebooted..
But my system information says i have v3.03 HEN firmware installed...
i tried going to Game>Memory stick>Upgrade x.y and it said it had problem with Update.PBP..... but the 13.2mb Update.pdp file was in PSP>GAME>UPDATE...
so atm i have 3.03HEN installed but 1.50 won't install...
What i want to do is play (dled) games on my PSP... Will this be available on 3.03HEN or will I need to install 1.50 (then install devhook).

Why am I having this problem installing 1.50 over 3.03HEN??

Hey all

I`ve been trying to downgrade my 2.71 (not a TA-82) psp to 1.50 for the past few days without any luck. I`ve tried many different methods none have worked so far, but have had the most luck with the guide in this thread so far.

Originally my problem was with getting HEN to work, as every single last time over 2 days where I`d try to run it, I would get a blue screen, then red screen then my psp would turn off. Each time this occured I`d check the system information and my psp version would always be "2.71" and not the "2.71 HEN-D" which would signify that HEN was working.

Today I tried an experiment of taking out the game I had in my psp at the time (Extreme Ghosts`n'Goblins) and trying to run HEN and that worked first attempt. I tested it a further few times and this worked 1 out of every 4 attempts. Incomparison to 0-50 tries with a game in the psp. I`d recommend adding in the mention of removing any games from the psp before running HEN into the guide.

In either case that brings us to now. I`ve extracted all files to where it was designated in the guide but every time I attempt to run the update my psp resets and I get the error "The game could not be started. (80020001)". I`ve double checked on several occasions to make sure that HEN is definately running and it definately is.

Any help would be most welcome.

The "Game cannot be started error" mean you must no have HEN enabled.

Re run it from the Photo Menu. You should get a response like a blue or green screen telling you its enabled.

Yep and thats exactly what happens. Screen goes blue, and the psp resets itself + in system information the version number appears as "2.71 HEN-D" but still that error occurs.

I`ll test a emulator with it to make sure its definately running regardless.

[edit] ok the emulator didn`t work either. Time to go read up on HEN some more. Hmm.

Double check you have UPDATE X.YZ and if you followed the TA-82 guide 1.5enabler under the Game menu.

Also you make sure you have EBOOT.PBP and UPDATE.PBP in

X:/PSP/GAME/UPDATE

If you overwrote the EBOOT.PBP it will not run.

Hello, I am new here. I purchased a PSP yesterday. Version 2.71 with T-82 Motherboard. Anyway, I followed your guide and it worked perfectly. However, I had to exchange the psp today because it had dead pixels. The new psp I received is the same exact version 2.71 w/ T-82 Motherboard. However, when I try to run Hen-d the screen turns blue briefly, and then it turns black, and then after 10 seconds or so the whole system turns off. I have tried reformatting my memory card, using a different memory card, redownloading the files and reinstalling.....nothing seems to work. What should I do?

Try re running HEN for a few times. Most times it will not work correctly on the first few goes.

Go to system information in the settings menu and it should change 2.71 to 2.71 HEN or along the lines of that when its enabled.

After it is just continue along with the guide. (1.5enabler, UPDATE X.YZ ect)

If you mean HEN. It should enable quick, but it may take a view times for it to enable by running it from the photo menu.

yes Hen is taking a long time to load, when it load it bring me to a white screen while there is a loading dot on the bottom right hand and thats it

HEN should almost be instant. If its just sitting there it may of froze. If so restart the PSP and re run HEN from the photo menu.

If you click the photo and its just sitting at a screen and you can't do anything it froze. Restart the PSP and try loading it again.
