Thanks for replying Brad. Yes it's 2.71. I upgraded from 2.6 with the file from this site. Anyway I was able to get it flashed. Once it booted it said my settings were corrupt in a few diff languages and to press O to recreate them. I did that and everything loaded fine with 1.5 fw. Is the corrupt setting screen normal? Sorry if this has already been covered. I'm thinking it just appears because some of the settings with 2.71 simply dont exist in 1.5 and the psp is confused.

Yup this is a common error that always happens after downgrading.

Don't worry about it.

Brad can you add that when using Hen 2.80 or 3.03 to do Slideshow.
1.Tried 25 time non slideshow.(Didn't even work)
2.Tried once slideshow(Work)

go in Photo then press Triangle on the Hen folder then do slideshow.

Its stated in the FAQ, but adding it to the main guide area will help.

So I'll do that now.

Hey Guys. I managed to get everything done up to the point where the 1.5 enabler says This PSP Will Run 1.50 then I try to do the downgrade and it says The system software of your PSP system is VErsion 2.7.1 there is no need to update. Any ideas?

You need to run the downgrader, not the 1.5 EBOOT.

Hi Guys .. i managed to get 3.40OE flashed and everything was working fine. Then for some unknown reason I saw an fw upgrade 3.02B and ran it. Yes I know that was extremely stupid but I'm a newb with PSPs and was thinking I was running 3.02A.. Anyway now it boots into a black screen, but I can get into the recovery console. Can I flash back to 1.5 and then 3.4OE again from that? Thanks for any info.

[Guide] Recovering your PSP to 1.5, 3.03 OE-C, 3.10 OE-A or 3.40 OE-A

The above guide should get you back on track.

Download This Pre-Made UPDATE folder.

If the 1.5 enabler say's your good to go, just enable USB delete your old UPDATE folder (X:/PSP/GAME/UPDATE) and copy over the above one.

Welcome to QJ

Well first you will need to downgrade your current FW to 1.5 (There is a Guide on Page One or Update to 2.71 and follow that guide on page one)

After doing so you can update to 3.40 OE-A

hi I have annoter problme and this after i chose from the eloader downgrade too 1.5 it say failed too assig flash2 device : 8001000d

I recommend you update to 2.71 then downgrade. Pretty much guaranteed no errors.

To do so: Download This

Once downloaded rename to EBOOT.PBP and copy to X:/PSP/GAME/UPDATE - You may need to make the UPDATE folder.

Run from the game menu and your good to go.

Nope. There is no current exploit on that firmware to allow a downgrader. You can run flash games though, which are like homebrew. A guide is in my sig.

Well first you gotta downgrade to 1.5, once at 1.5 you can update straight to 3.40 OE-A if you like.

ugh.... I think I might have bricked my PSP

I was trying to downgrade last night using the GTA:LCS exploit and I fell asleep halfway through. The last thing I remember is loading GTA:LCS. When I woke up this morning, I had to go through the default settings setup, and now it says my firmware is v13.37

You're probably at 1.5 then. Run a homebrew to make sure.
