My friend tried 2 downgrade the psp and he has done it 2 many peopls psp's so mines no different?(with the folders nd files in it) please tell me wat 2 do cause i only can borrow his gta 4 a week!!!
Hi, I'm new to this PSP stuff. Bought mine today, and it has 2.81. After some research I've found out that you need to go 2.81 -> 3.03 -> 1.50. Some quick questions: Is there possible to downgrade directly from 2.81. And can i use Burnout Legends instead of GTA LCS, both have 2.0 upgrade.. Or will this just mess up whit this save game stuff.

A friend of mine had GTA LCS, unpatched version. I downgraded it yesterday, now I'm on 3.40 CE :)

ok I followed all the steps and my screen just goes black.
then I checked the system settings and it still says system software ver 2.81

You can only use the noobs downgrade ... or you can upgrade to 3.50 and use lumines...
i fixed the problem nd i am now on v1.5 but how do i play the umd iso's on my psp..... thats my main objective of the downgrade..........

it still shows 3.03 hen in my system information but I don't see the xyz update in the game menu
You overwrote the EBOOT.PBP then. Copy over the EBOOT.PBP from the 303dg.zip (PSP/GAME/UPDATE) to X:/PSP/GAME/UPDATE on your PSP.Zitat:

I've tried the downgrade guide and am getting stuck on the GTA game save loading. I've have:
1/ Got hold of an unpatched copy of GTA LCS.
2/ Copied the 303dg.zip contents (PSP) to the root of the mem stick (H:\)
3/ Renamed EBOOT.PBP to UPDATE.PBP and copied to H:\PSP\GAME\UPDATE\
According to the guide I should let GTA load and when loading has completed I should see a blue screen and the xmb will reload showing '3.03 HEN'
I have done this over 30 times now (no joke) with 3 different momory cards. I have formatted them almost every time and re-tried. I've redownloaded the files and still no joy.
I've noticed that whilst the red load bar goes accross the bottom of the screen the momory stick LED is not flashing, is this normal??
This is driving me wild with frustration!!!

Try and remove the .PBP from UPDATE.PBP
After running GTA LCS, even is a colored screen did not show check to see if your system version has changed to "3.03 HEN". If so just continue on with the Guide.
I just bought a Pink PSP with Version 2.81 and I got this Harry Potter game bundled. To run this crap Potter game it says I need to upgrade and when I tried to run HarryP on my friends homebrew edition psp it produced strange error codes.
I'm just curious, just by inserting the potter game into my PSP won't have cause any problems to upgrade? It still says Version 2.81 in System Information so I should be fine, just going ahead with the downgrade, upgrade procedure?
If I buy new games online, they won't work in the homebrew edition? with new I mean brand new and titles not yet released. I mean obviously Potter don't like homebrew edition.
Is it possible (hard?) to return the PSP to original firmware after downgrade + OE upgrades? I heard this alex guy stopped making OE firmware so i'm just beeing cautious.
All Umd games will work with the Newer M33 CFW...It has all the great thing of 3.52+Homebrew extra...

I'm having a problem. I'll bet a million people have asked this before, but when I try to run GTA: LCS (unpatched), I don't get the famous blue screen, it simply goes to my game. I've checked the system, and it doesn't say that I have 3.03 HEN. I think my problem may be with my OS. Has MacOSX been known to work less than Windows? If not, I'm open to suggestions.

Yes, you can downgrade. If you have a patched GTA: LCS then you cannot downgrade, and you will have to find an un-patched GTA: LCS.Zitat:

It's a patched version.
You have a patched copy of GTA if it's 2.60 , try having a look around the for game lumines it downgrades all firmwares up to 3.50.
I have read about and it says i can use Lumines,what code needs to be on the game so i know i get the right one?
Anyone will do. Only JAP copys are patched, I think.
