anyone out there currently workin on a non-update loader for V1.0? i remember there being one for V1.5 a while ago, but nothing for me and my V1.0

having Tenchu sitting here unplayed is killing me, but i still dont value it above no-corrupted-icons. :dance:

im not sure but i dont think the one for 1.5 ever worked, but you could try to convert the 1.5 pbp into 1.0 with PSPBrew, its in the files section on this site

i heard it doesnt actually support V1.0 ? (not the eboot, the actual program) - i could be wrong on that tho.

i can confirm the current NO_UMD loader, released by "Placasoft" does not work with V1.0 PSP's. In fact, all it does is go to a black screen which says "blah blah skipping update" and then freezes your PSP - leaving only a battery removal to recover your PSP (a good few seconds of cold fear when the 'hold the power button up for 5seconds didnt work...)

Lol it is ez to hide the coorupted icons, go ahead and upgrade, all 1.0 hombrew runs just as good as on 1.5, just need to install it a diffrent way.

yer i still dont believe that

i still love my V1.0

(although i guess i'll probably end up updating sooner or later... but im still holding out for some no-update loaders) - its something only a V1.0 owner will understand i think :dance:

does anyone know if the "no-update" program actually works, cuz i have a 1.5 psp an i wanna get coded arms (does coded arms update your psp?) but i dont wanna go waste my money and i cant use it cuz i love all dat homebrew sh*t

It only has a 1.5 update, meaning it only updates 1.0 psps, you're fine, go get it, it's a great game

Actually, holding up the power switch for several seconds will also reset it...

There will most likley NEVER be a no-update loader for 1.0. The 1.50 firmware has new (or re-located) programming commands that the 1.0 firmware doesn't even have. The games will never run properly if any of these new commands are used (and I have a feeling most of them are...) Technically, the no-updater is working (it _IS_ bypassing the firmware check), and the subsequent locking up of the PSP proves that these games won't run on 1.0.

We can only hope that firmware 2.0 isn't radically changed like this as well, otherwise the no-updater won't work for games with 2.0 firmware on them...

Who says the No-Update loader for 1.50 works at all? It's a pretty large claim since it is completely untested as no UMD game requires a firmware version higher than 1.50 at the moment.

I hear ya mate, 1.0 4evah!

I know everything works on 1.5, but it's much less hassle to use homebrew than with the exploits, no matter how easy they are. I'm not much interested in PSP games so no update for me, most likely ever, unless a future firmware gets cracked.

a no-update loader would only be good for skipping current games from the check..
In the future, it will probably be impossible to use a no update loader.
Why, you ask? Well, New firmware comes with new code and new features, and if the game developer decides to take advantage of the new codes, your screwed. The game might boot but eventually it WILL crash.

Well...I'm not saying it works or not because I don't have a 1.0 PSP of course..

But I hear the HookBoot loader version 0.91 works with Coded Arms on a 1.0 PSP.

Again...I don't have a 1.0 so I can't tell you for sure

If this is the case than 1.0 has 1 game past a 1.5 update
