I have not seen this question asked, but I am wondering if someone uses the Jap 2.0 is there not a huge chance that when they stick in the USA 2.0 upgrade at a later date, that it will come back and says "Already Upgraded to this version"

No you can not do that but when USA 2.1 comes out you can upgrade to that...

yep you are stuck with jap 2.0 until a higher version comes out.

This is only a guess, but I would say this is like asking, "if I update with the Japanese 1.52, will I be able to update to the USA 1.52?"

My answer would be NO - because they are exactly the same update. So far all US and Japanese firmware have been IDENTICAL - same exact eboot file bit for bit. We'll find out when the US release comes out if it's the same also. My guess is it will be. If they make any changes, it will probably be 2.1, and then you will be able to upgrade to that.
