This is a discussion on By looking at the disk, how can I see if a copy of GTA: LCS is unpatched or not? within the PSP Homebrew and Hacks Discussion forums, part of the PSP Development, Hacks, and Homebrew category; I'd rather not have to buy a few copies and hope one works, is there a way I can look ...

On two copies I saw, they could be distinguished by one having -2 added to the games catalogue number, visible on the UMD. The patched one has -2 appended - the unpatched one doesn't.
Best bet if you can get to see the UMD tho, is to load it! |

Also beside what already has been said, the back of the boxs pictures are different on the two. Also the greatest hits box means its 2.6

Look at the back where the shiny part of the disc is. If you see "SCEA" or a "2" on it (non patched numbers have UPDL starting and end with a 1 and then you will see another 1.) then its patched. I think the SCEA and the 2 go together so you may want to look for that.
You can't look at the box. I got a patched game copy with the SAME disc cover as the one with the non patched on it. For sure, the Greatest Hits GTA LCS will not have it. |
