Heres the recovery files for the custom firmware for anybody that wants to flash back to a 1.5 on there psp. Just extract to root of your memory card and then go into recovery menu and select it.

Yeah, I'm going to run an exe that could be filled with viruses.

Its a no-no to download and run EXE files off the net like that. For all I could know that could be a virus. Let me see, I'll try running it first and see what they are...

I've run the file. Its an EXE extractor that extracts the recovery files into the PSP. It should be safe...
