for a while, the in-game save feature in megaman battle network 6 worked fine. but however soon it would say "save failed...". I started over and it worked fine until some completely random moment later in the game. now i have to rely on the savestate function. i also tried starting a new game which worked fine and later loading the savestate which caused it not to work again. Does anybody know why it does this. All my other games (including other battle network games) work completely fine.

Maybe it is the rom, but I doubt it. I suggest just using the savestate feature.

It happened to me, too. At first, it worked really well. Then, after about ten hours of playing, it said, "Save failed". It did work right before that. Guess what, not only MBN6 but also MB5 has this problem. I was really mad with MBN5 (same problem), so I changed to MBN6 hoping it works. And after I got the legendary beast, it happened.
I'm sure it's not because of the version of the game. I like playing on GBA so don't tell me about using save state or anything like that. I thought the game had some problem that occurred after playing few hours. But since someone said that it happens randomly, so... Then I thought the save file had exceeded the limit. Still no proof. Ok, that's the problem. I like this game. If you know anything, please reply. |

This is a common save glitch..
I used one of those Application Homebrews for my PSP that allows you to copy/move/delete data, and every few hours of playing, I'd copy the .sav file into common, so when the Save Failed thing occurs, and I can just copy the .sav back into the gpSP roms folder, and start where I last saved. gpSP is still a beta program.. Remember that. |

Pogoshell can do it, too. But since I play about 5h each time, the old save file is useless. Besides, I let pogoshell save automatically (to save some time), so there's no backup file.
And, just why does this only happen to MMBN? |
