my psp is version 2.6 i have the eloader for gta...and my question is will it work with bochs. I downloaded the ready made windows file from psp updates and i went to eloader. i selected bochs and waited. a balck screen came up and said



a pressed a button and a blank balck screen came up.
then after waiting about 2 minutes my psp turned off.

I would say no, I think this needs Kernal support.

when I run w95.bat, all it does is tell me the path of the folder that it's in

Sorry, i forgot to explain:

I´ve typed the following line into Bochs: setup \is.
Now the Problem: It should not appear the ScanDisc, but it does. After the ScanDisc finishes, i can´t go on.



I can either press the Exit-Button with the Cursor, nor can i use my mouse.

How can i solve this problem?

So I want to install MS-DOS 6.22, but I realize their is no real keyboard support is there? I mean... how do I type? I want to make a batch file that I can just tell it to run at startup that will launch a dos game, such as the incredible machine. I think that may work... any help or suggestions. Such as, is this even worth it? there is a lot of pessimism on running a game on this even working. Whose got their opinion ready on a dos game?

Ok, so I dont really want to get win95 on the psp cos thats ,, pretty dumb- but is there a DOS emulator so old games will run, such as Dune2 / Stunts and things like that? - I know you can get the games on the amiga emu, but that emu hasnt been continued in a loong time ;(

if not where on the xp cd is the file i need?
how do i install xp onto the c.img file?

i am getting no sleep because all i keep thinking about is bloody dos.

ok..i hav the following files in my vm folder in the mem stick== BIOS-bochs-latest, bochsrc.bxrc, c.img, and VGABIOS-elpin-2.40,,,,but when i start bochs in my psp it comes back to the menu withouit showin anything....it booted perfectly on my computer

Guys. I got 95 to work and please believe me: all this action - it´s not worth it .. !
Finally you get a pixelated windows screen, absolutely ugly and unenjoyable, and a mouse pointer you can´t control really.

So save your time and do something else that makes more sense....

I've gotta agree with lkjhgf206... it's not worth all of your toil. Luckily I got it to work on my second try... you need to copy the rest of the files from the Bochs folder (BIOS-bochs-latest and VGABIOS-lgpl-latest.bin) for it to work... took a good 15 minutes to start it up and I left it alone for a few minutes and it froze after the 'Welcome to Windows' screen. Deleting this from my MS so I can save myself 200 megs.

Maybe a stupid question, but does this work on PSP's with firmware 2.6 yet? I searched the forum and read a few pages in this topic but this topic has like 12 pages, takes too long to read/search :P

Hmm, so nobody knows if there is a eboot that will work on 2.01 yet? I keep getting the suspicious hard path error as well and would like to know if it's possible to still put it on a psp. Any help would be great.

Nah, Bochs program requires kernel access.

It runs and you can make files and such, but there's absolutely no device support (i.e. internet) so it's not very useful.

Windows 95 emulation is very slow. Unfortunately, this makes Win98 even more unattractive.

You're better off using the file assistant. Alot faster and it's better for file management.
