I installed firmware 3.40 OE-A on my brother's PSP which had 3.50 out of the box using the Lumines exploit (it was a TA-082, so thank god for the exploit!). We refuse to upgrade to the new M33 firmwares because we think the group is quite douchey. Long live Dark Alex (we don't play new games, so whatever).
Anyway, he's having a problem when trying to enable the Flash Player in the XMB System Settings. He keeps getting this message, and has no idea why:
"Connection to the server failed. A DNS error has occured (80410413)."
Now, I also have 3.40 OE-A installed and I'm able to use the Flash Player just fine, so I know it's not the firmware. And we definitely know it is not the router or Internet connection, because I tried it with my PSP with the same router and it worked. He is able to connect to the Internet and use the web browser. He formatted his memory stick and I tried re-installing 3.40 OE-A but he is still getting the same error.
Does anyone know what could be causing this? My PSP is non-TA-082, and I didn't use the Lumines exploit. Could that have anything to do with it? Any help would be appreciated.
