Trying to upgrade to 3.40-OEA
I ran into some issues when I tried to upgrade my 3.03-OEC to 3.40-OEA. What i did was back-up everything, including the flash. Formatted mem stick, then went about the normal install of OE. It went through the process just fine, booted up and worked. However, when I went to put some homebrew games on the mem stick, they wouldn't work. It also wouldn't load up my PSX game. So I got a bit antsy with it, and just downgraded back to 1.50. Then upgraded back to 3.03-OEC, now, nothing works. Well not nothing, but the homebrew is busted and won't work, and neither will that other thing that I shouldn't have mentioned earlier...
I'm just wondering, it is a TA-086 board, and I did have to use the IDStorage hack to downgrade it the 1st time. Could this be the reason why I can't get anything to run now?
Basically I went from Sony 2.71 > 1.50 > 3.03-OEC > 3.40-OEA > Sony 1.50 > 3.03-OEC
and yes I did check the recovery menu to make sure it was using the 1.50 kernel.
I plan on trying out Chilly Willy's Key Cleaner tonight and see what happens.
