 Please, I need help.
I have a IC6001 motherboard PSP, running 3.40 OE-A that is partially bricked. When I turn on the PSP it plays the SCE logo and then freezes before loading the home menu. (I have a 512MB and 2GB Sandisk memory card.) I can get into recovery mode but none of the means for recovery seem to work for me.
I tried to recover to 1.50 using the several different recovery packs but continually get an "error reading DATA.PSP" (after the message where it tries to extract the "special prx's"). I even tried using this same method/recovery pack with other official firmwares (i.e. 2.01, 3.03,... by using them as my UPDATE.PBP file) with the exact same result.
I tried to recover 3.40 OE-A using that wonderful guide on this forum and initially had problems creating a DATA.DXAR file. The memory card light would come on and after 15 seconds the PSP would shut off without having created the DATA.DXAR file. I eventually used a friend's PSP to create the file on my memory card and then run the recovery process. I get an error regarding recognizing the dxar file.
I tried to recover to 3.52 m33 (using the same wonderful guide) and several auto installers. Unfortunately I continually get an "invalid psar" error.
I've exhausted all options I can think of. Is there something I'm missing??
Thanks in advance for your help.
