Well, after having some problems with my PSP 1001's analog stick, and trying everything to fix it (new faceplate, cleaning, etc.) I'm going to have to resort to sending it into Sony.
However, I'm a little worried. Of course I love my custom firmware and I don't need them upgrading my PSP for me, which is what I would imagine they would do if I sent it to them with custom firmware still applied.
So, I was curious, how can I protect my PSP from the Sony Ninjas? I've been around the scene since 1.5, and haven't had to downgrade since 2.0 (those were the days ) so I'm a little behind with the whole downgrading process as of late. I was thinking of maybe downgrading to 1.5 if possible. Or something a little newer that has been hacked.
Then Pandora battery popped into my head. I don't know much about this, but assuming Sony runs the latest update on my PSP, can I use a Pandora battery to reinstall my custom firmware? Or, if Sony should upgrade my motherboard (for whatever reason, although I couldn't see it, is there even a second motherboard for 1000's or just the one?) could I still use a Pandora battery?
I'm just an old timer so forgive my ignorance.
