I used to do a lot of homebrewing with my psp awhile back but I kind of stopped. I saw my psp laying there so I figured I would give it another try. So I got on the website here and followed this guide [GUIDE] The Ultimate CFW Installation Guide to update to 5.00 M33-6 which I am using now. When I tried running my SNES emulator (snes9xTYL v0.4.2me) it wouldn't start. So I switch the kernel from 5.XX to 1.5 and tried again with no luck.
So I thought I would just redownload the emulator. I went to this guide [Guide] Popular Emulator Installation and Configuration and redownloaded it. the .zip file had two folders, one for the 1.5 (with two folders, one with the % and one without) kernel and one for 1.0 (with just the single folder). So I tried both and neither worked.
Next I tried every combination that I could. I tried the 1.0 emulator using the 1.5 kernel in every folder I had (GAME, GAME150 and GAME5XX) and those didn't work. So I switched to the 5.XX kernel and tried each folder again with no luck. Then I tried the 1.5 emulator (with the two folders) in both kernels and every folder I had with no luck.
Each time I was getting the usual 80020148 error but in a couple of the trials I was getting this error I had never seen before 8002014C.
Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? I am getting frustrated haha. Thanks in advance.
