where to go after 500 m33 6
I've been reading these forums for years and thought it about time I registered.
I currently run the excellent 5 . 00 m33 - CFW which i sorted out a couple of years ago on my psp1000. Works like a dream for the things I want - snes and pcengine emus, a few japansese isos (twinbee collection) and various homebrews.
However, I recently decided that I really wanted to play a new game. I grabbed the iso and tried to run and.... yep, game could not be played.
I had a look on QJ and it looks like the game requires higher firmware.
And this is where I get stuck because the CFW scene seems to have moved on a bit since I was last involved.
I thought a good option would be to get the prometheus - 4 update to m33 - 6 but it won't install. I think that is due to my flash0 being full.
I chased down that problem and most people recommend re - installing m33 - 6 and trying again. Can't do that though, the installer says - already installed -.
Then I thought that maybe I should just abandon the 5 . 00 cfw and look at 6 . xx but, WOW, there are a lot of options out there and I'm a bit concerned because many of them want me to update to OFW and then update to the CFW ? !
Would someone be kind enough to help me out ? Is there a 6 . xx based cfw that I can upgrade to from m33 - 6 without going through the OFW route and will my existing emus etc continue to work without making more changes.
I've spent hours on forums trying to come up with a best plan and failed so would really appreciate any advice.
