i dont think zips work,since they are a type of compressed files, and are mainly used to transfer files quickly and easily, but i may be wrong

Can you play gameboy advance games on "RIN" because in the setting you can change the loading to GBA or something?

all my roms are in zips and so far they've all worked apart from a couple of .mds ones.

hmm, well then i guess i am wrong, i would have thought u would have to extract them first..

When you select a zip, a % bar pops up on screen to show you the file decompressing before it runs it.

This is how I've got it all set up:

PSP - GAME - MEGADRIVE - ROMS - SONIC1.BIN, SOR3.BIN, THUNDER4.SMD

None work or even show up in the roms folder once i'm running the Mega Drive emu except THUNDER4, but even this freezes after 1 screen.

Once the emu is up and running, the only rom coming up is THUNDER4, that's it.

Don't ask whats going wrong because I have no idea!

then why cant some1 make a decompressor app 4 the psp it wud make every1 witout a comp be able to upgrade, download, downgrade, decompress, and walaa!

than sum1 make a app useable on the psp to decompress files

Saves on space too. i've successfully played Pengo, Ghouls n ghosts, Hhard drivin, Marble madness, Phantasy star 4, Rainbow islands, Zero tolerance and Sonic the hedgehog. All of those are in zips and most are .bin files but a couple are .smd files. I've don't think I've managed to get any .mds files to work yet. if you've only got .mds have a look around as you can usually find the roms in different formats on different sites.

Axehead, your a star!

I did what you suggested, putting the zip.files straight into my rom's folder and it did the trick. Tried Streets Of Rage 2 and 3, both play and look great, but no sound on SoR3 and some very quiet sound on SoR2, but at least it's working, so it's a start!
