All these Emu's will run on the 0.7 (I think SMS works on 0.7 too even though 0.3 still comes with 0.7) I have tested them all. Just extract to your root:D (supply your own Rom's obviously)
DOWNLOAD HERE!
here is the link^^^^^^^^^^^^^ for the emu pack

now-
KERNAL!!!
I dunno which version of Doom-psp doesn't work, but i have an older version that seems to work perfectly. The only thing is (this happened in version 1.5 too) when playing the original doom.wad, you have to start or load your game quickly before the game would normally show it's demo movie. But it gives you a good 20 seconds to start your game before it freezes.
i think but im not sure - a kernal app is an app which doesnt run from the psps ram (such as most emus) hence y any app which is bigger than the psps ram(16mb)wont run in 2.0 is because no way to access the kernal memory in 2.0 has been found.
O, it works. I just forgot to change it, after the new versions of the EBOOT Loader came out. Thanx for pointing it out.Zitat:

I don't want to be rude, but you say you have a psp with 2.5 firmware, how are you able to run doom then???  :confused:Zitat:

I just wonder, what exactly is keeping us from running the eboots in kernel mode?

you arent.Zitat:

I believe EBOOT loading is only supported from versions of File Assistant later than 0.01 - i.e the kernel-mode versions. Seems most likely, since sceKernelLoadExec() (which I guess is what they use) is a kernel-mode function.Zitat:

Nope.Zitat:

The address space for user-mode apps is approx 24Mb (IIRC).
The quick explanation is that certain features of the PSPs firmware (such as loading extension libraries, setting up device-drivers) require special permissions to access. Normally, you request this by setting a flag in your application's header, and the firmware reads this while loading the app, and grants you those permissions.
But we're not going through the firmware to load apps under v2.0, since it doesn't let us run unsigned code. So we can't request those permissions at load time, and there's no way to request those permissions later.
So - v2.0 applications run with the loader are currently locked into a restricted mode, that can't access all the PSP's functionality.
Until we find a way to trick the firmware into giving us those extra permissions, they're locked out.
Kernel-mode apps are those programs that request kernel access permissions. Some of them don't really need those permissions, so they could in theory be recompiled - just like LUA Player was. Others, like UMD emulators, are just very unlikely to be able to run without genuine access to kernel features.
This is a bit like an analogy with GTA:LCS, which seems to require features from the v2.0 firmware to run. No matter how much you fake the version, it just can't run without access to the genuine v2.0 features.
At the moment, I think that it is probably possible to patch up kernel-mode apps that don't really need kernel-mode, though it might need to be done on a per-app basis, and it's probably easier to ask the authors to produce a user-mode build. But apps that really need kernel-mode features will only be usable if we succeed in cracking through the kernel-mode barrier.

Hey guys : I just added a new page to my website, that gives an easy way to find out what's currently been reported as working.
The link is here.
The advantage is that you can filter based on EBOOT/LUA, Working/NotWorking, Kernel/NotKernel, and sort the list on any of the columns.
Also includes current stats on percentage of working EBOOTs. Here's the current stats, for kicks:
Number of tested EBOOTs: 107
Number of kernel EBOOTs: 30 (28%)
Number of working EBOOTs: 60 (56%)
Number of tested LUA Scripts: 19
Number of working LUA Scripts: 17 (89%)
Total number of tested homebrews: 126
Total number of working homebrews: 77 (61%)
BTW, please keep using the thread in these forums to report new entries for the list.
PSP MediaCenter 0.82 works with the latest 2.0 EBOOT Loader but I can't get a song to load. Can someone try this?
