Seems like the instability of launching some EBOOTs (especially uo_Snes9x) is related to the size of the AAA.PNG file.
I've put a small patch on my website (scroll all the way to the bottom of the page) that certainly improves the reliability of uo_Snes9x for me.
BTW, it should also help anyone who has problems with the PSP freezing as soon as they open the photo folder.

JPEG Viewer 0.52 goes through the checks but fails to start freezes at the 10 seconds screen
Snes9X 0.02 is working for me... I am playing supermario world as we speak = )
(using Version 0.3 of the eboot loader)
Hey guys, here what I do for the uo_Snes9x for PSP (Ver.0.02y32), if psp is in standby mode, snes seems to be unstable, but once you shut down completely your psp, it works. it works every time after I shut down psp completely~ hope this bit of info works for you guys~
dual tetris works too...
