What ver. of DGen works??
does the new File Assistant work??? Please say it does *crosses fingers*
Coheed: Needs kernel-mode....so thats a no.
MAN that sucks :-( i want a MPEG player for 2.0 badly, anyone know of any?
well why the heck does it need kernel? Damn! That seemed like kick ass app.
yea, why exactly doesnt kernel apps work witht eboot loader? Will it ever work in the future?
Why? its already got one?     :PC: :PC:Zitat:

Because from the photo menu the PSP takes everything from USER-mode, kernal mode cant be accessed, and kernal mode accesses all system memory and all that good stuff :icon_winkZitat:

i just tried the dgen 1.11 version for firmware 1.0 and it seems to work without a hitch. at least i hope it's thta version, yeh, anyway, that one works, but 1.10 doesn't? how odd...
not 100% on that anymore, i tried to open it again like 30 minutes later and it doesn't work?
OK, i have retried and retried and found out that if you want to use dgen, you would have to delete the files and replace them each time. sure you can use version 0.01, but it is a lot slower and can't load zip files. plus, if you use 1.11 then you won't be able to go back to the main menu once you're in a game. My advice...wait till something works...
Fanjita, is there already a release date for the new EBOOT Loader?
Iminent
for all you ppl tryin to get DGEN i wouldnt even bother...it sucks. You cant switch to full screen and its hella slow and bad sound. All i use is SNES TYL thing....it works flawlessly and SNES has some NICE RPGs!!!! If you look hard enough theres lots of cool Japanese RPGs that have been translated to english
Amen to that :icon_smilZitat:

yeah i wanted to ask that question to.Zitat:

didn't see it one the list, but file assistant 0.3 works :icon_smil
Right now, all the enhancements I wanted to get in are in place, but a lot of the popular EBOOTs (e.g. Quake, LUA) are broken again, and I'm working on getting them fixed before I release it.Zitat:
Zitat von Aythamie
So - if things go well, I might send out some betas later today. Likely that the full release will be out in a day or 2.
Darn  . Hope you get LUA fixed, it would be nice to work with a soft reset key.Zitat:
Zitat von Fanjita
Yep, unlikely to release until that's fixed.
where can I get that old version, bud ? :)Zitat:

EDIT: Got it

EDIT2: The ebootloader says that its a kernal app, no way to run it. Could you upp your version, please ?
this is the one I'm using:

I'm about to try file assistant 1.0... but if someone else has already tried it... yeah I'm gonna go ahead and get ready to feel stupid.
ovr heard it uses Kernel...i use file asistant .o1...it might be old but its a great app and it works with 2.0...now if i dont like a rom i have or if i wanna rename a movie that isnt working i can do it without having to walk to the comp room
hell I just want the flash player.
i just want the mpeg support...
What in that app do you think is causing the kernel access? do you think that some of the features included in file assistant might work without it? For example, could the person who made it release the flash player separately and it work on 2.0?
is there a flash player... this would really useful... ecspecially if it was supported in the web browser, considering im making my psp site a full flash site...Zitat:
Zitat von Jay C
not yet. You see the browser in 2.0 and up doesnt support flash. It may one day in a new update, but for now, this program called file assistant allows you to play downloaded flash, labeled .swf files. I havent had a chance to try it since I recently upgraded to 2.0 and it only works on 1.5 and 1.0. I hope to see a homebrew flash player with full keyboard assignment to certain face buttons, so that someday there may be a sort of "flash game emulator"Zitat:

if UMD emu ever works w/ eboot loader...1.5 wont even be used much any more....w/ humma gone though I dont see how a non-kerel verison will/can come out...
Yea somebody please try out the new FileAssistant.
i tried it. no luck.Zitat:

Is there any way to get fMSX running, yet?
Hey Fanjita? Could you try to get the new AOTM 04.a working in the next version? It located here http://forums.qj.net/psp-development-forum/24892-attack-mutants-0-4a-modpack-edition.html Thanks :icon_smil
Isn't UMD EMU on your banned list because of its links to piracy, fanjita?
It's not banned, just unlikely to work any time soon. Having said that, I'm unlikely to go out of my way to make it work - but if kernel mode ever gets unlocked on 2.0, then I suspect the UMD loaders would work.Zitat:

Looking at it now (after all, AOTM is one of my favourite games :) )Zitat:

Man I wish the new FileAssistant would work. If I did I would upgrade this very moment. It would be cool to have the web browser and the ability to play most of the video files on the internet, which FileAssistant would allow you to do. Thanks for testing it out thought.
And if File Assistant did work then maybe youd be able to run Homebrew EBOOTS using it?
What is file assistant? a media player?
