UMD Emulator isnt pirating...maybe if you knew what you were tlaking about you'd know that alot of people make BACKUPS of thier OWN games through programs like UMD Emulator and other ISO Loaders and play them while they are saved on thier memory stick.
If YOU knew what you're talking about then you would quickly realize that the actual process of "dumping" a UMD to an ISO on a memory stick violates U.S. law, namely the DMCA, since it's circumventing the copy protection inherent in the UMD format. Because the only public UMD players in existance are currently on the PSP itself, it's a form of copy protection.
Easily argued and winnable in any U.S. court of law.
Thus, illegal for use and play in the U.S.

How many games could you get on a 1 gig stick anyway? Two at the most I would think.

I could understand it if you could get a lot of games on a stick, and not have two keep your umd's with you. A 1 gig memory card is the price of two games, and you can only put two games on there, so why not just buy the games?

I know you could have more games on your PC and keep swapping them on your PSP but that just sounds like hassle to me.

I thought the point of the machine was ready to go anytime gaming?

I think that some people just like to pirate stuff even when it costs loads and is a major hassle, to look cool.

Any one know what MAME Emulator works with eboot loader v.07??
PSPMAME 0.96 runs , But I have no idea how does it work or where ROMS go.

As for XMame I tried about 3 versions, after running its Eboot and all the loading lines show, then asks u to press X ,the PSP just freezes.

Actually the memory stick price was drop already. Now, it is $80USD on internet. Run the game in memory stick is faster then UDM and memory stick is easy to carry and take care.

Does anyone know what the best running Genesis emulator is for PSP, because I have DGEN (Don't know what version), and it doesn't work good.
You can scroll down ROMS (you have to guess where they are), and the sound is terrible.

I was wondering why all the emulators kinda look the same (uo_snes, Njester, Rin).
They all have the same menu structure, state save support and file browsing.
Are the programmers working together or are there some standard file libraries that everybody uses?

Because from the photo menu the PSP takes everything from USER-mode, kernal mode cant be accessed, and kernal mode accesses all system memory and all that good stuff :icon_wink

OK, i have retried and retried and found out that if you want to use dgen, you would have to delete the files and replace them each time. sure you can use version 0.01, but it is a lot slower and can't load zip files. plus, if you use 1.11 then you won't be able to go back to the main menu once you're in a game. My advice...wait till something works...

Right now, all the enhancements I wanted to get in are in place, but a lot of the popular EBOOTs (e.g. Quake, LUA) are broken again, and I'm working on getting them fixed before I release it.

So - if things go well, I might send out some betas later today. Likely that the full release will be out in a day or 2.
