I think that BMS is THE best homebrew ever! It slays DDR by such a long was its beyond a joke! I love Beatmania so it feels so good to be able to play it on my PSP! But I upgrade and downgrade so many times so that I can alternate between it and GTA, and it can't be doing my PSP any good!
Does anyone know how likely it is to be able to run JzBMS on the eboot loader because it doesn't suggest any errors when you try and load it?
That would probably be the best news I ever heard...
check fanjita's working list, but the last time i checked it doesnt work. It might work on .9 though
Does anyone know of a genesis emulator that works for the 2.0 update for the psp?
It says it on the on the list on first page, its PSPGenesis 0.18cZitat:

Hello everyone,Zitat:

Just got my PSP today, and I noticed this forum.
Just wanted to know what the most recent and best homebrew is for a PSP v2.0.
I have been reading through the forums here, but I'm still a little confused.
I'm looking for a homebrew that can play both emulators (ROM) and PSP games (BIN, I think).
Thanks so much guys!
You can play roms onlys. PSP ISOs are illegal and can only be played on 1.5. If you want to downgrade, just look for the guide
Hello every1 Im new, and I'm having trouble understanding all of this. I have the 2.0 firmware, and I want to play some NES or SNES games on it. I saw all these guides..but the lingo is way to complex. Ima NOOB i know. How do you unzip a folder into the root of your memory stick? My computer doesnt have a memory stick, or memory card port like all the new HP's do. Can some1 PLEASE help me? or maybe some1 could walk me thru it over the phone? I would really appreciate it
You need to connect the PSP to your computer using a USB cable. Te PSP will be assigned a drive letter "example = f:\"; that is the root of the memorystick and exactly where you unzip.Zitat:

Starbugz works using 0.8.5
Fanjita have u tried MAME on 0.9 loader?
No, haven't tried it yet. I never quite got my head around which games work on the current PSP MAME. The engine itself seems to start inside the loader from quite a few versions ago (0.6, maybe?), but I never managed to get anything running.Zitat:

It's a shame - I have a full-size arcade cabinet that I built and loaded with the PC MAME version, it'd be great to have some of those games running on the PSP.
well I hope it will work at some point because MAME was quite enjoyable on 1.5Zitat:

@Fanjita: Any Date set for the 0.9 eboot loader?
Zitat:
Zitat von enterman
Can you PM me some details for getting a sample ROM to work, please? I have a full set from mame .57 or so, so any working ROM would be fine.
It may well be that it already works, of course.
No fixed date. I'm kinda happy with the code in the loader core as it stands, just waiting for a menu update from Calum at the moment. It wouldn't make sense to beta it without the menu, because experience has shown that the menu can have some effect on the behaviour of the main loader. Besides, the game icons in the menu are a much-anticipated feature :).Zitat:

In the meantime I'm involved in a couple of important side-projects, so I don't really have time to do a quick interim release.
I'd hope we'll have 0.9 within a week or so, but it's difficult to say for sure.
cool, id rather have a full complete version than a half completed 1, ive heard gr8 things about whats scheduled for 0.9.Zitat:
Zitat von Fanjita
What kind of side projects? If its some kind of secret you dont need to say.Zitat:
Zitat von Fanjita
Keep it up Fanjita. I cannot wait for your newest eboot loader. The limitations of 2.0 may be homebrew's shot in the leg, but we can still walk dammit.
Has anyone been able to get rRootage to work? It wont work on Eboot loader 0.8 or 0.8.5
ya i was begining to wonder that too, becuase i just got it for pc and now i want it for psp
Hi all,
Anybody tried MSX emulator (fMSX) on fw2.00? For me it doesn't work with loader 0.85. (I've heard emu fMSX is superB and works without problems).
Thanx for any reply.
Dam rRootage 1.2 doesnt work either with loader 0.8.5 or 0.8
It doesnt work for me either on loader 0.8.5 or 0.8Zitat:
Zitat von mantinell
Yeah, that sucks, is there any hope of this working on a future version?Zitat:
Zitat von enterman
im sure it will eventually work with some work by Fanita though it would be alot nicer if the author would make a 2.0 friendly version.Zitat:

Hey evrybody :Punk:
I guess im new here
but iv been checking this thread for a long time
and its been about a month since i started using the EBOOT loader.
I wuz just wondering if any of the BMS players could be added to the
working list on the next update(0.9)
cuz I do know that it duznt work for 0.8.5
There is a rRootage 1.3 now, which is meant to work with V2.0 but as yet I haven't had any luck getting it to run.
since all of the Eboot loaders think its a Kernal app 0.7 wont even try to load it.
maybe it will work on loader .9
if i upgrade my psp with this software on it, if future games that are released need better firmwares, will it brick?
The Eboot Loader will not brick your 2.00 PSP, if other games require updates I recommend getting PSPsetx which has the safest Downgrade and can trick your PSP to think it's a 2.50 and you can swap the X and O buttons(which i've done plenty of times).Zitat:
Zitat von word_up_834
Yeah, that sucks, it was made specifically to work on 2.0 and it still doesnt work. I see this problem being fixed eventually though. Fanjita's gonna be pretty busy with all this 2.5 exploit stuff going on today, loader 9 may be delayed so he can work on making a compatible loader for the savegame hack.Zitat:
Zitat von Dangooner
why make a 2.5 exploit loader....with the Team Emergency Exit Firmware Changer to 2.5...is there any reason for us to upgrade and have a 2.5 eboot loader. This way those of us that have this 2.0 eboot loader can always downgrade if we want some 1.5 stuff, something you cant do with 2.5...
Some people might want the features of 2.5 or 2.6, and I dont know about you guys, but I'm tired of firmware changers. I'd rather see homebrew working on newer firmwares than continue having to stay back at older ones.Zitat:
Zitat von Coheed
What kind of crack head would want 2.5, 2.6 is kinda understandable with the RSS feed but 2.5 is just pointless.
Phoenix OS (look on front page) is working on 2.00.
good point. It seems like most of Sony's features are just there to try and hide the fact that they're only making new updates to keep us out. Its like "NEW, IMPROVED FIRMWARE 2.7! WITH MUSTARD DISPENSER!"Zitat:
Zitat von Killer 7
LOL. But yeah, they are getting sorta pathetic update wise...if they really must do this...at least give us something that isn't crap.Zitat:
Zitat von Jay C
Although I really would like a mustard dispencer. :P
