fanjita: i know ur busy but could u please work on pspgba 1.1 , it is pretty popular here.

Its more than likely on his list of priorities. The emu loads, but it freezes when trying to load a rom. I think this is due to an internal glitch that only really effects the 2.0 eboot loader where the eboot loader confuses itself. Thats basically everything I've heard on the subject, simplified in terms I can understand.

Noiz2SA 0.8 works. Im using a 1.5 eboot and have no idea if a 2.0 eboot works.

In Version 7 of the Loader I was able to get the Atari Lynx emulator Handy to work perfectly. However, it doesn't work in Version 8.

I noticed in the list of working eboots that PSpectrum was listed as working in both version 7 and 8 of the loader. But I haven't been able to get it to work! Grateful if someone can provide any useful tips or advice on getting PSpectrum to work.

FAVE Homebrew: Castaway (Atari ST emulator - very accurate)
SNESPSP_TYL (really excellent, games run very well)
AOTM (my favourite homebrew game, love the MODs - especially the South Park one. Is there any guidance notes anywhere on how to create your own mods. I fancy creating my own mod for the game.)

If i'm correct, the spectrom emus need the BIOS file, do you have it?


p.s. and try looking around in the development forum, or try asking Oblivion Oddysey he made a Chrono Trigger mod ask him.

Agreed, NOIZ2SA .8 works very well and the full screen mode is beautiful! However, some of the tracks on my custom soundtrack no longer work in this version..

Thanks for your advice on PSpectrum. I managed to get hold of the rom files 48.ROM and 128.ROM and copied them to the PSpectrum folder, however when I try to run the emulator on loader v7 or 8 all I get is a black screen and eventually the PSP switches itself off.

Any ideas? Do the roms need to be named a certain way or placed in a specific folder?

Spectrum emu... use v3 of the eboot loader - it does work using that...

only 0.7 loader can play Squarez. u can have 0.8.5 and 0.7 on the same memory stick since all of there files are named differently.

thanks for that, i was almost there before. i did have loader 7 on there...except i think i did . it turned out to be loader 0.3.... so after a bit of search i found the real one, and works perfectly! good work.but still don't know how to do the lazerix game?

i just tried it on the 0.8.5 loader and it doesn't seem to work. it said found suspicous hard patch at ....(something)
also tried it on 0.8 and it said failed to match NID.....
and 0.7 gave the same problem as 0.8 . so, i don't think it works...

QUESTION !! On the front page it states that you can play PSPRevolution then un the unplayable section PSPRevolution appears again so can i play it or not....sorry if this has been asked alot but i really don't feel liek reading through 101 pages...thats a freaking book lol

PSPRevolution runs fine on v0.8 and 0.8.5.

You need to put it in a folder called /psp/game/PSPREVOL

SNESTYL0.2c doesn't start for me reliably if I don't load Nester, then quit to the loader and load it. Wonder why this would be..

Edit: Actually, it may run, but upon pressing X/O to get to my game list, I either just get a blackscreen and lockup (followed by a shutdown) or Failure to allocate memory error (which also lockups and shuts down the PSP!)

You can go bak to loader menu with NesterJ? My PSP always freezes when i try to soft reset from NesterJ.. :mad:

Well I saw your edit's on the how to make a config thread, but even turning kernel warnings off, it just doesn't work.. Not even a "no script file found" error, just a black screen.. If you put the kernel warnings back on, then you get the "no script file found" error. (Edit: Hmm, I take that back, it's not just a black screen anymore, now it's a consistent "no script file found" error even with the kernel warnings off).

What I suggest Fanjita is perhaps you can rename your luaplayer folder to luaplayer2, and install luaplayer 0.14 again, see what happens. If it's not ok, rename luaplayer2 back, try to find the exact differences. I tried running command.com (as opposed to cmd.exe) to see I could spot any odd occurances in the directory structure, but no. I also looked at the EBOOT.PBP and noticed it's boot sequence and which files it looked for, I made copies of the script.lua file in the System folder and renamed & scattered them in other places it looks for it, but that didn't help either.

I also moved the folder out of the GAME folder into the root directory, and that didn't help either.. Infact the only thing that does work for me is the patched 0.13 version in the stickied thread below.. It's strange.

I have tried both the 1.50 and 1.0 firmware versions too, if you were wondering.

For the intermittent problems with LUA, I suggest experimenting with the techniques mentioned in the stickied 'how to run LUA on 0.8.5' thread, some of those ought to help.

Seems that running LUA is always going to be a bit hit-and-miss until I can produce a dedicated loader for it.

I modified a few files, and now, the newest version of Timidity also works (it already worked without modding some files, but it would't work properly because of the wrongly configured Config.cfg file and a few other wrongly configured or missing files ;)) (TiMidity++2.11.3 ver23)

I'm hoping someone can help me with the newest version os scummvm.

I'm trying to play Sam & Max (it's ok, I've already got it, that's why I'm trying Sam & Max) but I just can't get the game to run. The scumm emu itself works fine, but after that... I've got all the folders set up under psp/game, but I'm at a lost.

Any help would be great.
