I may include an option in the plist to turn it into a ms file manager, only if I have time to add a full file manager.

I hope we eventually have file management even if its not in the next release (since I guess there will be much to adapt - dpad>analog, apps name>icons plus name... it sounds like you may have to completly remake the default skin too).

Themes may be taken off Choice, I have not seen any themes done yet for the current version of Choice, Work has to be done to make themes posible so if no one is going to make themes for choice, then more time could be put into other areas of Choice if themes where droped, If you whant Themes to be kept then plz let me know, and if any of you have themes allready done for Choice then why not email them to [email protected] and it can be posted on the site for others to download.

If any one is whanting to create themes and not shure how to just email me and will get back to you soon as posible.

The themes are always a good thing to have (lot's of ppl like the option of customizing everything)

I haven't had much time (exams) but then again I'm not very good at gfx. It's easy to make a tga but I can't even get the raw icon file to display correctly in Photoshop (lol... thats embarassing...). I hope someone with good knowledge of Photoshop (I know just a little of GIMP and Paint.NET and neither seems to support raw...) releases one soon...

By the way XArt, how can I keep 2 versions of Choice (Preview3 with 0.85 and Beta2 with 0.9) side by side? I need to rename the one folder but I get into trouble when I edit the bin file with a hex editor... Is a hex editor even the way to do so (if so could you please tell me which one you using... you are on a Mac... know any good free one for Win)?

Don't know any windows hex editors as I use only Macs, never tryed my self using two versions of choice together, tho should be easly done by checking the pathnames in a hex editor, also edit the tif file it will have a pathname pointing to the bin file in the choice folder, also check the config file.

you could email two ziped up files of bothe Choice for me to have a quick look if you caunt get them to work.

The only versions I have is the current and final version in alpha stage.

I don't know if it's any good or not, but i once used Hex Workshop for Windows and it seemed pretty good.

Just tried a couple more apps (including Hex Workshop) but still the same thing...

Just sent you a mail XArt, but I'd also like to know why it didn't work. After I edited all, my PSP crashes when it should launch Choice. I also sent you my edited version (to the mail in your website).

I also tried with Fanjita's EBOOT Loader downloaded fresh from his site. Could move l_09.bin (edited the tiff file to do so) inside the folder in Photo but not the rest (had probs after editing the .bin file).

Anybody has a clue?

well email only takes like 8 seconds to travel the world. So i doubt it taking time.

That's wierd... I sent it again via Gmail (can't use Thunderbird here due to the network settings (blasted campus wifi :icon_mad: ).

Anyway if you don't receive it the files are here in the forum... I really don't know what went wrong (still trying to find other apps - PSPad seems interesting).

not all email takes 8 seconds, some have been known to take a day.

don't ask me how it happens, I have a idea that it could be a Windows thing, maybe, what you lot think

Got it yet? If not I guess it's because of the network setings here... I can't even download ftp (and forget about p2p)...

The signal is also pretty weak (my room is in the limit area and I must have my laptop hanging in the window to even get the signal... but hey it's free!).

Well all that was in the mail is pretty much in a previous post. I'll go now (it's geting really cold...). I'll check again tomorrow.

This is to let any one know that you may test the final version of choice before it gets release, so if you like to test the various builds of Choice+ then simply email me at [email protected] with the subject BUILD TESTER

as soon as the first usable build of Choice+ is done you will be sent an email with a link where you can download the Builds of Choice+ and will be given a KEY that will be needed to download it.

It is not in a usable state yet so don't expect to get an email strait away, also the condition is that you email back any problems you have.

XArt did you get my emails from yesterday? It doesn't seem to be anything wrong with my mailing acount because I already sent and received mail today... I still wish I knew what went wrong with the hex editing and with the mail...

Sorry to bug you but I'd also like to test this Choice build (I'm a sucker for new releases :icon_razz ). I'll send you another email right now (with the files I sent yesterday too) but if you don't receive it could you please still send it to [email protected] ?

If there seems to be any probs in mailing you I would however reply the bug via PM in this forum if it's not too inconveniente for you...

There's something wrong with either one's email acount or something really odd going on...

Just sent an email with no attachments. I composed the mail in Gmail itself (Thunderbird can't connect to Gmail due to the network settings...) If you got Mast3r_Shak3's mail you should also get mine too this time (he's also on Gmail).

Forget about the files I was trying to send you (but if you want to check them they are posted here ...

I had a look at the files and was able to quickly get it to run in a folder called Prv3 inside of the Photo folder.

Thanks man! I'd still like to know what went wrong with my atempt... Is any sort of pluggin needed to Hex edit different file types?

By the way this isn't the mail in your site right? If you haven't received any of my mails may I reply to that one instead (at least I know I can receive mail form it and I'd like to test that Choice build you wrote about)?

when you hex edit any file make shure you don't change the length of the file, take the tiff file, when you type in a diferent size path name make shure it ends with 00 (Nul) and if the file gotten bigger delete some of the extra 0s after the first 0

if it gotten smaller add 0s until length is corrected

if you encounter a none 0 value after you enter your pathname then you will have to shortan it.

Thanks it worked! Man I wish I had a class that taught me anything about the basics of code...

I tried it with Choice and made it. Then I also tried with with the version from Fanjita's site and now I have all files inside a folder named "eLoader" in the photo folder! Thanks for teaching me that :Punk:
