Two pieces of data I discovered while playing with the emulators:
Snes9x-y: someone pointed in a forum post i read some days ago that the "autoframeskip" option doesn't work. It actually DOES work, but the usage is kinda funny: put the "frameskip" at a high number (for example, frameskip=10) and activate auto frameskip. It will skip frames only when needed, up to the limit specified.
VBAPSP: the last version (0.03) DOES support sound. To enable it, use the analog to the right (it works as a on/of switch). Analog up/down, as well as square/triangle, works as a frameskip +/-. Put the frameskip on max and enable sound, Final Fantasy I&II gets playable - and it could read my .sav file from VBA for windows.
Bet a lot of people already know these, but then again...
