In case u dont no what it is, the MPH Firmware Launcher is a program that will allow all 1.0 and 1.5 users to use any firmware for there PSP without updating! And now with the newest version u can use the 2.0 web browser! This guide will help u with installing the MPH Firmware Launcher 1.3.7u5u1

First off, u will need to dl the 2.0 Eboot. U can dl it directly from PSPU here. Next, since I can not provide u with a decripted 2.0 update, u will have to decript it yourself which is accually very simple if u are using the correct program.

Now u will need to dl and install the fake updater program. DL it here. Just install it like any 1.5 program. Now, after installing it, take the 2.0 Eboot u dl and put it in the UPDATE folder that is in the fakeupdate folder without the % sign. Now, disconnect your PSP from the USB and, before starting up the fakeupdate program, u will have to Restore the Default settings on your PSP. U must do this, there is no way around it. After doing that start up the fake update program. When it starts it will ask u this: "Do you want to fake-update to firmware 2.00." Choose yes. Then it will go to a screen that says loading PSAR data. After serveral sec. a message will come up that says: "Update data is loaded in RAM. Do you want to delete the update file to free space?" Choose yes. Immediatly after choosing yes another message will come up saying: "Do you want the update files to be decrypted?" Choose yes. After choosing yes it will start decrypting the 2.0 Eboot. this will take somewhere around 2 min. After it is done a message will come up saying this:

"Done.

Extraction/decryption was done by: PSARDUMPER by PspPet version .02A

great job guy!!!!"

When the above message comes up just push circle. After it goes away another message will come up saying: "Do you want to copy your flash1 to ms0:/F1?" Choose yes. Copying the flash1 only takes a few sec. After it finishes a message will come up saying: "flash1 copy finished." Just push circle to make this message away. Then push circle again at the "Press any key to exit" message. Now go back to USB mode on your PSP and go to the root of your PSP. Here u will see to new folders called F0 and F1. Rename these to flash0 and flash1.

Now u will need to dl the MPH Firmware Launcher version 1.3.7u5u1 U can dl it from PSPU here. Now just copy the MPHFL and the MPHFL% to your games folder. Copy the mphfl.inf to the root of your memory stick. Now disconnect your PSP from USB mode and go to your memory stick and start the MPH Firmware Launcher. Now, once it loads up, just push X to start emulation of 2.0 Now once it boots up to 2.0 u can go to the web browser and use it! Just manuver over to the web browser icon and push X. Now, after the web browser has booted up count to 2 because, if u try to do things to quickly it will freeze up on u. Manuver up to the web entry bar at the top. Count to 2 once again before pushing X. After u push X it will take u to a typing menu where u can enter the website u would like to go to. Some sites do not work correctly. I typed in http://google.com For whatever u type in, after u type it go up and push X on the enter button. now it should take u to a message thats going to ask u to create a new connection. Before doing this make sure u have had your wifi swich down the entire time u have been in the web browser. If u havnt then just push Left trigger+Right trigger+Start and try again. If u have kept it down however then we may continue. Create a new connection like normal naming it whatever u want (I just left it as connection 1) and when u get to the scan part of it DO NOT flip on your wifi swich yet. Instead click scan once it says that your wifi swich is down, before exiting this message flip your wifi switch to the on possition then exit the message. Now push scan again and choose your wifi connection. After choosing your wifi connection flip your wifi switch to the off position then count to 2. Now just create the rest of the connection like normal and push X once u get to the end. After creating the connection choose it and it will connect to the wifi and load up the web page (hopefully). Well there u have it 2.0 with AVC support and Web Browser on a 1.5 PSP. Enjoy.

For those of u that are getting the error when creating the connection in the web browser do this. When u start emulation of 2.0 go to network settings and create the connection from there. Then exit 2.0 and back up your flash1 folder. Then restart emulation and go to the web browser, type in your web site, and start the connection like I said above.

Anyway, Very awesome tutorial! I was incredibly curious as to how to use this MPH loader, and am Soooooooo happy that the web browser works! Though for some reason I can't connect to my D-Link.... It has worked before, but now I just get this error... or something. I'm gonna go find that error list!

dude there is a way easier way than goin thur all this steps u could get it here

PS:say thank u if u use my mphfl [LINK REMOVED] this is like instand noodle but it is not noodle

pps:can i play games that needs 2.0 or higher now?

i think i found the program you're talking about. but what do i do with the fake updater src folder? do i extract that too? and if i do where do i put the files? sorry for asking so many questions, just dont want to brick my psp

srs file is the source file, its not the program, its the program in its original form, so u can edit it and make it better, u need to find one the ends in .exe .zip,rar etc like that

yes u found it then. Do nothing with the source folder. Just install the normal 1.5 folders.

ya were not allowed to distribute it. y do u think the decrypted 2.0 is not in the files section? and I guees u missed the big MOD EDIT part of it.

y would u want to? just use your 1.5 for that. 1.5 has a tendancy to chrash alot less

no, Firefox is a windows based program. The PSP of course does not use windows and can only emulate windows 95 very slowly. And no it probally wont ever be ported either.

hi. i m very please with your post as it gave me new hope in getting into macdonald's wifi

however i encountered an error . " An internal error has occurred(80082728) " while trying to do this part

i pressed o instead of x most of the time so i think its just a mistake u made? (as x brings me back to the previous page.

I'm having similar problems as the user above with getting an internal error. If you could provide more detailed instructions for this part it would be great. I looked at the error message on google and most people say it is a glitch where you fix it by resetting the factory settings. However, while doing that in emulated 2.0, it causes a corruption error for the reset sends it back to 1.5 without having fixed the settings all the way. So now I am having to unencrypt the update again so as to get away from this blue screen of death.

What firmware do you have and have you run homebrew before?

Just wondering, when I read the ReadMe for the MPH loader it says the webbrowser only works with a 2.50 dump, is that true? I got into the browser with the 2.00 dump and it seems to work, but there's no WiFi around to test it.

1. I used PSPset v0.9 to change my background on my PSP v1.5. Is that going to interfere with the step that says "Restore to Default settings"? Can I leave the background just as it is or do I have to go back to the default ones?

2. Does this tutorial work with the new MPH Firmware Launcher v1.3.7u4?
