I installed the eloader, and I open GTA, I load up the eloader and it crashes after a few seconds of frozen eloader screen, just like what happened to timbo, is there anything I can do too fix it?
The eLoader does not change any hardware on your PSP, nor does it make any alterations to the internal software. It installs on your memory card. If you want to remove it before sending your PSP to Sony or making a warrenty claim, either remove the memory card or format it first, this will remove the homebrew software.Zitat:

PSP Firmware Version?Zitat:

eLoader Version?
Actions taken so far to resolve issue?
Helps if you post a little bit of information about your system, but a stab in the dark would be to format your memory stick, reinstall the eLoader and nothing else and check it works without crashing.
If this doesn't work, reset your PSP back to factory settings and try again. If this doesn't work, I would guess there is something wrong with either the software you are installing or the Memory Stick.
Re-download the latest eLoader build and install that.
Post back if you still have issues.
If the eLoader works, install the homebrew one app at a time and ensure it doesn;t stop working, if it does break, don't install the last piece of software next time your rebuild it.

by the way also make sure you have a atleats one homebrew installed before you run eloader as it tends to freeze if your game folder is empty...
NVM I fixed it =)
Alright, I installed the BrownAle version of eloader onto my 2.60 ver. PSP and now it works fine. =)
everyone that i seem to click on says its to old this is for 2.60firmware
if i dont have the urge to play GTA is/will there be another way for me to use homebrew apps? or is another way not being figured out? i really dont want to buy GTA just to do homebrew. I know alot was done to get homebrew where it is today i'm just curious if anything else is being done besides the GTA eboot. thanks!
Sorry, If you have 2.01+ the only way so far is using the GTA exploit. Fanjita once said that he would look into other games such as Wipeout Pure for exploits but we have no idea of the progress he has made (if any) right now.
Wow, this is great, I can homebrew again. But this made me think, wouldn't it be possible to create an app that can be loaded with the eLoader that would allow the user to edit the PSP's system software in such a way that would cause it to downgrade the firmware like a hex editor or something? Just throwing that out there...
I don't know if anyone here has noticed, but none of the tutorials here, or anywhere that I have seen, define GTA as Grand Theft Auto. For some one in the dark, this makes it really hard to understand. While reading it, the whole time I kept wondering: Do they mean "Grand Theft Auto" every time they say GTA? Seriously, it was maddening, I worked on trying to get this to work on my psp for an hour, with no results until I bothered to find out what GTA meant. If you had said it from the begining then it would have saved me all that work. In the end, I'm never buying GTA, so this just wont work for me. Thanks though.
Hm, wouldn't it be possible to run the MPH downgrader EBOOT using the eLoader?
Can anyone positively tell me that I should upgrade my 1.5 to 2.6 and still enjoy homebrew?
