Did you say to reformat your memeory card and that helped? I dumped the firmware on my memory card. But when I try and load the game all it say is "Loading Game"

ok make sure that the umd is in. And also make sure that you don't put the umd in too early. Get ready to launch the loader and then it will be the psp load screen and then put the umd in. Hope it works, if not back up and then reformat you memory card.

I didnt know you had to time putting the umd in. I just had it in. Ok I will try that.

Also do I put the laucher and the loader under PSP/Game or do they go on the root?

does anyone know how I can completely uninstall a previous fw, though? I installed the 2.0 fw for the umd loader, but I needed 2.5 to play Maverick Hunter X.

So, I deleted the files from my duo regularly (not realizing there was an uninstall feature in MPH FW Loader beforehand). It couldn't delete all of them. I was able to change the folder name, though, and installed 2.5 instead. I also went back and tried to uninstall the original 2.0 one with no luck. I reinstalled OVER the previous 2.0 files which worked. However, when I then uninstalled the 2.0, it worked, but those same "corrupt" (as it says they are when I try to delete them) files are still there and I can't get rid of them from my memory stick.

anyone know what I can do so I don't have this useless folder/files on my stick?

Oh, and it's just a file or two in the flash1/registry folder. Everything else was uninstalled fine.

you should back up everything on your psp. Format your psp and then delete the flash folder. And then put everything back on :)

great thanks I totally got it to work. The only thinig I noticed is that when I save the game its blank, there is no yes or no for saves.

Tested with my 2.0 UMDs..

Result:

Metal Gear Ac!d 2 (JPN version) : you can play,save,but you can't use the sleep mode..

Monster Hunter Portable (JPN version) : cannot load the game at all... freeze at loader loading screen...
