Guide: Quake on PSP

It doesn't work. Heres what I do, I start quake, I press select twice to show that menu, then I press L and then R, It would show the screen to enable infustructure mode, I then press the circle button to go back to the main menu, click on single player, new game, It starts, then I press select twice to bring up that menu, press L and then square, and after that, it wont connect.

in otherwords, it wont connect period, It will only connect if I use eboot 09's wifi loader trick, period.

The truth is, I want to use this new loader so that I dont have to go thru the trouble of doing the wifi loader trick, Why isnt even working?, It doesn't make any sense, I think it has something to do with editing the eloader's config file or something, but someone hasnt explained that.

Ok, you have everything right until you ge the the point where I bolded the text.

Don't start a new game. Just press circle until you are in the menu you started at (you see people playing in the background) and then press:
Select
select
L
Square

And that will load up the game and start. If it doesn't then yuo don't have it set up right.

I still need help with why it only lets me see peoiple chatting, and "hear" as in see the text, of what is happening in the game.

Ok, Heres an update, It apears that quake doesnt connect online with the new eloader if you setup your network connections manually instead of automatic, In order words, The new eloader wifi support doesnt work with the static IP settings.

lol I got quake to work but who is playing on which servers and which server are the most popular? I went to the server under psp quake and theres like no one there

since I got this working, I'm still not quite happy with the IP address it detects, I mean the reason why I originally setup a static ip so that in case I need to do some port forwarding on it, I would forward the ports to its ip address and everytime connecting the PSP online, it would give me a different IP everytime.

Yes, All you have to go is go ointo your network settings on your PSP, Delete the current connection 1, Then create a new connection, put everything in automatic and then load the eloader, start quake and do the trick mentioned on the guide and it will connect, It apears this new eloader doesnt support Static IPs.

does anyone know if the psp quake works with the warez version of quake the only diffrence is that the normal retail version has a pak0.pak file in the id1 folder but mine has all the files in there extracted

Thank You Tiger..All i did was put the 1st connection to Automatic and it works like a charm. Guess no static Ips in this eboot loader.

Then wtf? I moved IrCommander from, "WORKING" to "PARTIAL-WORKING/UNRELIABLE" on my list, still we have me, spudweb521, and themariokarters and can get it
