eMenu-- v0.1 Public Beta 4
Hi Folks
Beta 3 didn't really give us much feedback, hopefully due to lack of bugs  Anyway, we have fixed the icon code, so it can show interlanced icons. We have also redone the list code to fix a potential problem, and in the process simplified the code even further.
This will most likely be the final beta, and we consider it a release candidate.
For answers to the most common eMenu-- questions check the bottom of this thread.
0.) eMenu-- is meant to be a simple, fast, stable no bs alternative to the standard eLoader menu.
1.) This is intended for use with eLoader v0.95+
2.) This is not an 'offical' release, it is only a public beta, meant for people to try out and give me some feedback. Don't download this file unless you know how to use a custom menu with the eLoader. If you don't, please wait for the proper release.
3.) No support is offered on this menu yet. If you don't know what to do with this file, don't download it. I don't want you to ruin your eLoader setup.
4.) This is a F&D project, and will be released as a part of the eLoader package.

Common eMenu-- questions
Homebrew such as Lua Player being marked as 'NOT HOMEBREW' :
‘NOT HOMEBREW’ is due to the fact that eMenu needs homebrew to be installed like on firmware 1.5, with the eboot.pbp in the root of the homebrew folder (ms0:/psp/game/homebrew/eboot.pbp). The reason for this is speed.
Some homebrew doesn't show on the list :
Folders with a '%' in the name are ignored. The reason for this is speed.
Some icons doesn't show :
These icons are either a part of the eboot.pbp which is located in the '%' folder which is ignored due to speed, or interlanced which can't be show using libpng atm.
The background isn't shown :
Both emenu--.pbp and emenu--.png should be placed in ms0:/psp/eloader/, and shouldn't be renamed.
Who made eMenu :
The eMenu team as such only consists of Fanjita and Ditlew. The other names mentioned in the credits are people who's tools, tutorials, libs are include in the eMenu somehow. Infact many homebrew are based one their work, and we tend to forget them and only remember the names up front like Fanjita, Homer, Ditlew, Raf and the other devs.
Why another menu :
The current menu is based on some old code, and has come to a point where it is getting really unstable to work with as a dev. When we try to add new features to it, we have a 95% chance of it crashing, even if the code we add should be harmless (sign of memory corruption). Just look at the original Bock release, the menu didn't run on some 2.0 PSPs, and yet it ran on others, including our testers. Then there is the speed issue. If you have alot of homebrew installed the old menu takes forever to start, eMenu-- is tested with 700+ homebrew folders and it still is as fast as if you only have a handfull installed.
