The 1.7.0a3 Rev 4 is not even loading up.
The PSP goes through the GTA screens then when Choice eXtreme is supposed to load up theres some memory card activity (the light flashes) then a second or two later the PSP turns itself off. Oh this is with v2.5 PSP.

place this in your desktop picture folder and select it then goto about choice.
This has allways been posible for a long time now.
This was kept back as it dosn't filter out the .ps files when viewing backdrops, also it is what animated icons for eboots will use.
Got the latest eboot and alls working again, just found one problem. When you use the triangle button and goto PSP status you cant get out of there, your stuck.
If you try to restart by pressing right and left shoulder button with the start button it tries to restart but ends up back on that page.
You have to turn off.
And I`ve gotta request can the screenshot files be placed in a folder somwhere in the Xchoice installation instead if the root ?

1.7.1a Special Edition for testers will be ready soon, 1.7.1a Public edition will also be ready soon.
the only diferance is the Special Edition will have Screen Dump in menu+l&r trigger buttons, & Delete Store these were for my use to test choice
Screen Dump was made for tester so they could show me at what point in detail that choice was going wrong at.
Delete Store is for testing purposes and left it in for testers, it mainly deletes the .XS_Store file.
Public Edition will have to do screen dumps threw the menu.

OH MY GOD.
This is still not working for me. I'm on firmware 2.6. I download the latest version, Open the "Choice Extreme" folder, and since I'm using eLoader 0.96 (emulators work better on this version), I use the 0.96 configuration file, and change that line to:
menu=ms0:/psp/system/shell/eboot.pbp
Then I connect my PSP via USB, copy over the eloader folder, and the system folder.
When I start eLoader it shows the text that says that Fanjita and Ditlew made it, and then I just get a black screen, and it shuts off after like 10 seconds.
What's the "_MACOSX" folder for? I haven't been using it for anything...
Also, what's the "._ChoiceeXtreme" file for? I haven't been using it either.
Please help me. Thank you.
delete the _MACOSX folder and all the DS_Store files if you have windows, not sure what the ._ChoiceeXtreme is for and where to place it. only works on .97 so just update.

Well, I am using eloader 0.96 with XChoice and it's working perfectly. I had issues with eloader 0.97 that I decided to stick on eloader 0.96. My firmware is 2.0 by the way.Zitat:

Hmmm...very strange. I tried running SelectX on my other memory stick which has eLoader 0.97, and it works perfectly.
But I'd rather not upgrade my eLoader because NesterJ and other emulators don't work as well on it. It has to be something to do with that loader.cfg file, correct?
All I'm doing is taking the original 0.96 loader.cfg file, and changing that line, so it looks like this:

hey xart I ike the new updated that you gave us to test I now that you said that you are going to keep working on it but i like the new menu and keep up thr good work.
I know you said your not finished yet, but didn`t know if you`d noticed how dark the new background is compared to the old one.

I have notice that dark karnage is trying there best to copy Choice eXtreme and to try and protect it I deided a while back not to release any open source for fonts,graphics,images etc as they would use it and proberly take credit for it like they seem to be doing with eLoader, saying they have there own.
they seem to be telling the world they are the first and only shell, this is not true as we all know they has been at least four, including mine, they even may be another developer working on one that has not release it yet.

so graphics in img format will start to use WISE protection that it supports and will give out some tools for others to use to produce there own img file with WISE to protect there own hard work

Xart I would perfer the background lighter, you can hardly make it out at the moment.

i havent' noticed a darker background. the bottom icons do need to be locked and 2.6 still freezes when checking the stats.
is 1.7.1aSE Preview1.zip the latest build?

About the darker background, this option can be manualy turned off, the file that deals with it is .XS_Store, this is a 1byte size file and is just a bunch of flags for that folder.
if you hexedit it and turn off the 2nd bit, make it 0 it will turn bright.
I think its 2nd bit don't have the code in front of me at this time but prity sure.
