Select for PSP

It is in 1.7.1a SE/PE where the background is darkened a few locations like the root desktop,fonts,backgrounds ,games

1.7.1a SE was a preview release to tester and is still being worked on.

USB will be turned off by default in this version, and will have a option in to turn on/off also CPU MHz selection will be renabled

I am just about to add the clock & bat on the status bar and enable CPU, then be emailing testers 1.7.1a SE Final

When i have feedback of this build and fix any issue with other rev of it I will begin work on the big one, BETA 1, this will be just the same except for one thing, I think you all know what that is going to be, anyways I will let you guess what it is then I will tell you if you are correct

2.1+ cannot use USB.

USB doesn't work on 2.01+ maybe on eloder 0.98, and Is it keyboard ?

That specific part is in the kernal (flash 0) so nope. :Cry:

I think XArt was talking about the OSK. All I really want for eLoader 0.98 is to have equal compatibility in tiff and GTA

No, Wifi only works in bock.
I can only get it to work in the Emenu though.

i know, i have a lot going on right now. i am going to try to do those icons and write up a tutorial this week, but i have 3 squatters taking up my the dinning room in my apartment and a girlfriend angry at them for not being good house guests. it is a raw deal.

i have been thinking about how to word the tutorial but people get confused really easily and they really just want you to do it for them. maybe i will try to make an action script that can be run in photoshop that will take care of everything.

i'll give it another go tonight. it would be nice to lay in bed and still mess with my PSP. what we really need is an unzip app so we can open .zip files directly on our PSP's.

Ralan do you use a Mac? i think i just need an ftp server that i can connect to. how are you connecting?

AT's zip app should do that

No the psp makes the ftp server and your Comp connects

You don't have the tutorial this week, BTW there already an unzipper for the PSP.

I am looking into ftp for 1.7.1a SE/PE and yes BETA 1 is all about the keyboard.

the controlls will be simple and quick to use.

i have emailed Fanjita about ftp as he help me save a lot of time with USB and if he can help me again i will have 1.7.1a soon with ftp

Once that's in all that's left for the basic file management operations are copy/cut/paste and create new folders :)

It all started when I emailed fanjita when he was developing EBOOT Loader and I asked him about going open source so I could write a nice interface, he desided to split it up instead, the eboot closed source and a menu open source, that was all i needed as i was only interested in the menu.

So if it wasn't for Fanjita I wouln't be here and they wouln't be a Choice at all.

Hoping to se .98 of eloader by Ditlew and Fanjita as well.

Report: Wifi homebrew atill isnt working, the new bottom bar look is cool and ill have more oce i contune to pick at this build. I like the new /\ to open choice meu and [] to open file choices, thats an improvement.
When going through a lot of folders it crashes but it with stands more than the last bbuild i tested.

Pick away, I need to know all the issues you have so I can fix them.
So feel free to tell me.

glad you like the bottom, I will be posting the photoshop file that used to create the icons for it for others to create there own.

Im going to make an install guide.pdf to include in further public releases.


Also a "make new folder" option would be nice...

i will be making a manual myself once eveythink is sorted, but it dosn't harm having more than one as some might find one manual easer than another one so I will host any manual you create.

If it is realy good I will pick it as the official menual if you like.

Great, lots of options dark menu light menu or lock and unlock icons. And the options to have different options on or off in the separate menu pages.

Its all running smoothly, I haven`t come across any problems with this build apart from the wi-fi thing with ftp.
The funny thing is PSP-radio works with wi-fi from Xchoice but no other app does. Well I haven`t got any other app to work without going back to emenu.

I will be posting a Preview of PE of 1.7.1a today.

just remember it is still very much getting worked on and is not the final 1.7.1a SE/PE

PE has no screenshot or remove store file option as these were for testers, they used screen shots to help me unterstand where they are having issues and remove store was left in and was for my use and just deside why not leav it in

screenshots will be added into the menu soon, testers will have the ability to create screenshots just by pressing the select button.

the reason for this two type of versions is that for most users just whant to use it not create screenshots and look at the store file.

but you can download the se if you realy whant it, i am not going to stop you after all this is choice, so you do have a choice, Public Edition will be posted on site and I will provide a link on the forum to the Special Edition if you like doing screenshots.

also the SE will allow Choice to be reloaded.

Yeah but it'll run out of buttons... I'd like in future versions to be able to quickly mark multiple folders (with just the push of a button) to delete/cut/copy/paste or whatever faster.

Not a bug. The files it cleanes are the ones responsible for the position and the fact that you can't move the icons. It's the correct behaviour.

i think you should put the open folder option before the delet folder option. i accidentally deleted a folder cuz i was moving too fast, plus i think open folder is a function that people will use most often.

i can always move the bottom bar, it is no longer locked. cleaning up files rearanges them too.

when i launch an app from the games folder and it crashes choice starts up in the games folder instead of the desktop.

and still no PSP Status for 2.6 users.

correct behavior, yes. intended behavior, i hope not.

No PSP status in GTA (I think even in 2.0 if you launched using GTA)... I hope it'll work and have some more features like free MS space, batery time left (besides the percentage)...

And I don't think the cleaning of the position files will be that big of a deal if it's in the SE only.

i thought the eMenu showed the psp status, unless my definition of psp status and everyone elses is different.

I mean in Choice using GTA.

What do yuo do with that? I know it unzips files on your psp but why would you need it?

Anyway back on topic the psp status works just fine on the v2.5 PSP and I agree with Dezful about having the open folder first above delete folder. I did the same and deleted a folder by accident.

So the status is working in 2.01+ with GTA. Nice. I thought it still crashed the PSP for you guys.

Well the only crash I still get is that one when I exit the Backdrop/Font/Favorite folder (that and a random crash after I browse a lot or do lots of operations/options).

And agreed on reordering the operations/options in the menus (though I never deleted anything by accident I do recon it's bound to happen).

2.6 still crashes on PSP status.
