BTW don't use KXPLOIT when using stff that flashes your FW
Since I downgraded I don`t use any apps that can write to flash. Just use devhook to test under emulated firmware, no bricking that way, I hope.
ok i think a flashing proram either semi bircked my PSP aor my memory stick
Hope its just the memory stick, its the cheapest and easiest to fix.
Xart, did you downgrade your psp? you should, you can still play 2.5- UMD games and so you could play 2.71- UMD games.
Edit : didn't work on my 1.5 too.
No, i am sticking to 2.00, I am looking into 2.71, looking to see if they is any flaw and if no flaw can be found then I will downgrade to 1.5
1.50 most likly freezes because I left in the address for eloader for passing pathnames back, when i take it out for 1.50 it should work, because it freezes and turns off, that is a very good sign it will work.
On the site you will see a patch for 1.50, this should do the trick i hope.
it is the same build number as it was only a very small fix.
Doesn't work, the ms light is turnd on for a bit and then shuts down.
Yeah, its seems to stay on a fraction of a second longer than the last eboot then switches off.
OK, Choice will not be coming to 1.50, untill it is finished and working on 2.00+
Also it looks like I will be giving up homebrew after v1.0.0 final of Choice eXtreme and be posting it as open source.
Don't have time for PSP as it is too much time involved.
If I do deside to leave after 1.0.0 I may return if 2.71 gets homebrew
Ass more users go back to 1.50 I see the PSP becoming a thing of the past as Apple moves forward with iPod and I am looking into development on iPod
Sony had the iPod killer but they didn't relize it.
please note I may leave, things may change a lot in the PSP world by the time 1.0.0 is finished.
I'm glad that you're still up to finishing Choice eXtreme. I know that a lot of PSP users are downgrading their PSP to 1.5 but I'm sticking on 2.0. I remember that I was about to downgrade to 1.5 when the eboot loader/eloader came out. And I'm happy I sticked on 2.0. Choice eXtreme is one of the reason I am sticking on 2.0.Zitat:

I know that a lot of 2.5/2.6 users had downgraded to 1.5. Well, you can now upgrade to 2.0 if you want too. :Jump:
I am waiting to see what eLoader becomes and while I wait finish off choice and make sure if I do deside to leave that the source code is very easy to follow.
If users start updating to 2.00 from 1.50 or 2.50/2.60 depending on if eLoader allows hombrew without GTA "we can only hope", then I will continue to develope the 2D&3D Interface for choice extreme 2, so it alll prity much depends how things are in the world of the PSP when v1.0.0 is finished.
I guess I will update if that happens
Well then, Come on Fanjita... Patch that XMB
I am hoping they can somehow patch 2.60 firmware to allow unsigned code. it is a long shot but it would make history.
check out www.noobz.eu uh-oh!
I've decided I'm gonna buy a 2.60 and patiently wait in content with my eloader
sorry, I just had to, 100th post, lol took nearly a year, I'm not here very often YAHOO!
Has there been any other updates.... like ones for mac ;)

It is the 11th
Choice is just not having the keyboard, every time I try and progress this project, it starts becoming unstable, I need kernal for this project to work and I am thinking of writing a quick filemanager program to try out all the functions on it including the keyboard and so Choice will take a litle break untill I go threw every line of code trying to work things out.
I hope to get back to choice soon, i am not leaving it just going to examing what is causing it to be unstable
Use the kernal boss, the kernal :DZitat:

Bloody finals! Bloody Microbiology!!! No free time :(
I know you don't like the way FileAssistant is coded but maybe you could check its qwerty keyboard code for some clues in why your code makes the PSP crash...
Still PSPless but I'll surely appreciate a 1.5 version :)
What hAppend to yours.....Zitat:

It is not the keyboard code, it is just not upto handerling any demanding apps, unless in kernal mode, so I am trying to over come the limitations and just checking to see if it is not caused threw a memory leakage
Shell are really tricky in the PSP...
Sold it to a friend. And it was a good deal. Wanted to get a chipped one (and today DevHook had to come out supporting 2.71...). I think I'm still getting it chipped since I'll no longer have to worry about fw.Zitat:

In one more day ill have a 2.7 and a 1.5.Zitat:

Then even if i want other firmwares I can without worry of homebrewlessness.
The latest build is the one that you need to do the %psp%game%blahblah to change the icon picture right? or is that for a later version? How does this go again I was trying to find xarts post about it but I couldn't...
Update on the Select project "Choice eXtreme"
I am looking at the code line by line and it is an issue with the relyability of the PSP, this is down to the exploit, if was ran in kernal mode it would be fine.
Choice eXtreme will continue and am relooking at pulling out file manager from the desktop and intergrate Cabinet, Cabinet is a filemanger program only, the Two will be merged as one and you switch from desktop viewing, to Cabinet "a itunes style file manager" just like fast user switching on the mac, where the screen rotates as a cube
and the desktop, will remain a way of organising and managing your files and running your eboots by passing them to eLoader
So nothink is getting rewritten, it is just getting added too and the desktop made simple to use.
With a Mac OS X look and feel
It's nice to know that Choice eXtreme is still on the go. Can't wait for your next release (hope the final one). Too bad that keyboard can't be added due to the kernel issue. Anyway, I hope to see "Cabinet" soon. Is it in the planning/working process? Or it's up to be released soon too?
Regards and Good day!
Cabinet is the intergrated file manager in Choice eXtreme.
I am breaking the project up into moduals to make debuging easer and will give the project more flexibility to grow.
Keyboard will be in Choice eXtreme, it will be accessed in Cabinet
So Choice extreme will be made up so far as Desktop & Cabinet also Gallery for viewing and selecting backgrounds for the desktop
Possible of Jukebox, but will have to see if I have time left for that one
Cinema, quite a long way off don't get your hopes on it
hope this all gets perfected, wish i could use it again :(
Xart is there any way to acces a eboot w/o entering the game menu on the PSP ?
Could you bring back the icon at the top of every page that says desktop so that you can jump back to the desktop and also the information stuff when you go over an icon, I liked all that?
Cinema eh, sounds... interesting.
I have desided to make Desktop, Cabinet & Gallery self contained apps so they can be seperated if you just interested in Cabinet or you just whant a Desktop for selecting eboots to pass to eLoader, they work best together but can work on there own just like iLife on Mac OS X
Things are getting better, right? Just can't wait to see what it would be when Cabinet and Gallery are already available. :Jump:Zitat:

Things are going ok, just going threw the graphic functions to speed up the blit function for alpha channel, also be looking into replacing the old Smooth font with a new Sharp Font system
That's great news! Thanks for not quitting on the project.Zitat:
