Hey everyone! I've had my PSP for a few months and only just starting getting into HB, only, I'm having trouble.

It just loads up where Fanjita saved at, and I can start playing his game. It's like there was never any eLoader, and we're just sharing saves. O_o

Anyway, I've done everything. I used the auto-installer, and left auto-load unchecked. Tried it with check. Used the manual version. Cut and pasted the saved data to and from the desktop. I've even used the non-cache version. I've done everything I can think of, only to have GTA resume the eloader save where it left off at.

I've been messing with this for 3 hours already, and I fear if I don't fix it soon, the mailman will be dead when he arrives.

ok... i really dont get this :S does or doesnt the eloader start up ? what does it do when you load the eloader savegame... be specific

GTA starts off with my game, and I then go to load up the bock save. Instead of launching the eloader, it takes me right back to the game, but only using Fanjita's save instead. So I'm pretty much playing HIS game.

EDIT: By the way, yes I have some apps in the GAMES folder and everything's in the right folder. I'm also running 2.6, just in case I didn't specify.

Have you tried any of the other versions of eLoader, such as Biere D'Alsace (.96)?

No, I wasn't sure if they were 2.6 compatable or not. Are they availiable on that noobz or whatever site?

Nope, .96 didn't work either.

When I hit load game and select it, it asks me to confirm and I hit yes. Then it does a GTA loading screen and loads the game. Is it even supposed to show that GTA screen if it worked?

I have no idea what's wrong with this. :O

Well, looks like I got the new version of GTA that patches this exploit. I'll have to find an old version then. :\

I'm on IRC with him right now. He said he bought his copy of GTA last night. This is the second time I've heard of a recent copy of GTA not working with eLoader. I think there's a new version out there, folks, and that the save exploit has been patched.

Edit:
There is a new version of the GTA:LCS UMD. It requires version 2.60 to run, and the savedata exploit appears to have been patched. If you don't already own the game, buy it used!!

I know exactly what this means, it means 2 or 3 month down the line people are gonna start selling GTA LCS on ebay claiming it can run homebrew and getting like £60 for it if this is true. So might be a wise idea to stock up on a few?

1. Nobody cares whose video it is.
2. He never claimed it was his.

I'm just trying to inform people about it, so they don't end up like I did.

Anyway, went to EB today and I traded mine in for a brand new GTA that was opened by the store, but not used. It works, and says I only need to upgrade to FW2.0 on it. I got lucky, I guess.

Do you think Rockstar patched this? Not that I want hb to go away, but why did it take them so long? Couldn't they have patched it as soon as the exploit was found?

gotta e new gta lcs last night..smell fishy when it prompt mi to update to ver 2.6. only realised today i gotta the patched version

do anyone knows if e old version of gta will still work after u updated to ver 2.6 using e patched gta??

I think Vice City has an ok chance of having an exploit in it.
Because really, think about.
Rockstar has nothing to lose and everything to gain.
Doesnt let you play isos, so means all their software is safe from piracy so youll still have to buy their games legit.
And because it allows you to play homebrew, Im sure it boosted the sales on this game to those thinking to maybe get it or downright not all .
I thought it was a great marketing scheme.
Im sure Sony came down on them and they buckled and fixed it.
