Ok i just Redid this again Putting everything in the Right spot right now F0 lol.....Ok Moment of Truth.................... ...........WOOOOOOOOOOTTT TTT ... I GOT it WOOT i got it !!
Thank you so much got it on my 1.50 :) :Jump: :Jump: :Jump:  :humped: :humped:
Argghh! This is driving me nuts!! I followed this tutorial step-by-step *twice* (once before the revision and once after) and it's still crashing on me whenever I try to start devhook. Keep getting a black screen with this message and my PSP shuts down:
Start Devhook
Save Launcher Setting
Loading Devhook
DH Ver. 0.51.0000
reboot system....
I'm using a 1.5 firmware with a fresh install each attempt by re-formating my memory stick. Using all the files from QJ posted in the turorial too. Is there something real obvious I'm not doing...like a DevHook setting isn't set right?? I select "Firmware" to "3.01 (MS or flash+MS)". That's all I have to change and it should work, right? I don't understand what's wrong. :humped:
Umm does anyone else know how to remove the devhook menu when you press the "home" button. LOL man. Emulating 3.01 is almost perfect exept for this problem. remote play uses the homebutton.
Is there anyway to do this stuff on a mac? CAn a friend do and send me the files, would that work?
(I know request for these files are illegal, just want to know if files from a friend wold work.)
yep macs can do it you just need the pbp opener thingy! ill upload it in a sec!Zitat:

once you press the install firmware on devhook (flashing) and u try and load devhook is ur psp now bricked? does that flashing files install a custom firmware on your psp? or does it just flash to flash 1 or 0 in your 3.01 folder? im really confused on that part and the purpose it serves
I have no idea, it worked first time for me (I'm talking to cheeze)
Zitat:
Zitat von Hardrive
Thanks a lot Hardrive. If you find anything please pm me lol. Its sort of annoying because i want to up the quality of my video play back on my psp to ps3. I can only do that if i can access the homebutton with remote play.
No, it's not bricked. No, no custom FW. It flashes a few files to flash1, because 3.01 checks for them.Zitat:
Zitat von Ranger613
It's fine really. If you're scared, get a cutom FW (like SE-C), so you can have recovery.
Have you ever played the mini games in the N64 game Kirby Crystal Shards? The checkerboard one, with powerups and stuff.Zitat:
Zitat von PS-wii-60
Yeah, I followed steps 20 thru 23 and it still didn't work. I guess I'll try for a third time though. Maybe that'll work.Zitat:

My audio.prx is only half the size of normal. Help?
First off if you followed the instructions to the teeth then you shouldn't have a problem unless the version of the psar dumper is an older version that you guys are using. Basically this is what each thing does:
PSPbrew = Used to extract the DATA.psr file out of the EBOOT.pbp (This should be the 3.01 update EBOOT.pbp file; don't ask questions just get it)
Psardumper = Used to get the F0 file out of the DATA.psr. Make sure this is the UPDATED designed especially for extracting the 3.01 EBOOT.pbp firmware. If you don't have the right version for 3.01 this could be your problem. I don't know I'm just guessing because I'm no programmer.
NOTE: I just read someone is still talking about the audio.prx, YOU DON'T NEED IT WHEN INSTALLING Devhook 0.51
EVERYONE SHOULD UNDERSTAND THIS WHEN INSTALLING DEVHOOK OR YOU WILL KEEP RUNNING BACK HERE CRYING!
tried it with my PSP 2.71SE-C with the X-Flash files. You deleted that part from the Guide so I deleted the X-Flash files and tried Letting Devhook install them. So it installs, I pick firmware and go to start. It loads up and I get the Blue screen. So now I'm just trying with the X-flash files again and it works, so put that back in your guide.
Now when I go to System Settings in 3.01 Emulation, I get a screen saying;
An internal Error has occurred
(8008271D)
I pressed O and I get the Blue screen again?. What can I do to fix this problem:(
Rember this is emulating 3.01 not 2.82
EDIT: The sounds work fine, I didn't need to replace the .prx file or whatever it's called
I also have a question which is bugging me alot.
i currently have devhook .50 and i can not save my personal settings such as wifi connections, wallpapers, etc. Does anyone else have this problem? Also if i install .51 using this tuturial will i be able to save my settings? This saving setting problems is really getting me annoyed! Thanks for your help and awesome thread!
also can u brick in any way by installing this?
thanks!
^^^ im not, but last time i tried to do firmware and was about to flash, i read all the text, and it said i didnt have devhook installed, lemme try everything again and see if i get the same msg, and this time i will type everything
Can we use the vshex mod with this release?
no because the code was re-written so now its incompatible.
However Devhook has a menu where you can change CPU speed, ISO settings, and exit Devhook on the fly in the XMB.
Hey Hardrive, if you want I could help you rewrite the guide
how do I enable flashplayer, wma, etc without the wifi internet
also anyway of playing some flash movies that don't seem to work
Retry it, the X-Flash really messes things up.Zitat:
Zitat von X1337
I don't know, I can. And a brick is possible but very unlikely, and can be avoided by installing SE-CZitat:
Zitat von E.S Vision
Hey,
I have gotten 3.01 to start on my psp but during the "intro wave" the system freezes then restarts into SE-C. I finally got past the black screen that others are stuck at but now this is a completely new problem
Thx in advance,
Lyo
It should be... 9 kb or so.Zitat:

SO I READ THEY FIGURED OUT 333Mhz SO HOW DO I MAKE IT WORK???
This is making me frustrated!
I can load 3.01 but each time i go to the system settings or web browser i get a bsod. Then when I reboot my psp, (in 2.71 SE-C) i get the bsod as well I press circle and it gets fixed though. But, i want be able to access the web browser and see the system settings.
First time I did it using X-flash (for f1) but then I read this topic and uninstalled it from my flash. Then I used my 2.71 flash 1 (renamed to f1) and im getting the same problem
I don't know, find a wifi connection.Zitat:
Zitat von madmax2
I am glad you removed the audio part that was really bugging me. Now that it has been removed I have gotten everything to work and have sucessfully emulated the 3.01 frimware thank you everyone for making this possible.
Thanks, I will try it out!Zitat:
