Thank You!
the creator of this guide
and specially to all guys that help create devhook.
dark_alex noobz and all i forgot... THANK YOU.
5 Minutes for get 3.01 working  Great work !
cheers
lame
need some help is this all possible if you have the original sony 3.01 firmware
on your psp.
I ask this because my brother updated his firmware 3 day's ago
and now he want to use devhook.
hi,
i would like to thank harddrive for such meticulous and complete guide...got mine done in less than 10 mins...thanks alot
however, i do have a small tiny question...if i were to have 2 or more iso in the ISO folder, how would i switch between the iso files without having to restart the devhook emulation?
thanks
i have followed the guide 3 times now and get same error everytime.
i get past the data.psar part and copying f0 across. ( i have done this with a 3.01 data.psar and a 2.82 data.psar with same results) then goto start devhook in xmb. gets the psp gameboot and then nothing. just sits there then eventually will turn off psp.
can anyone help with this.
settings for psp are: 2.71 SE-C , GAME , GAME150 - in recovery mode configuration states - game folder homebrew (currently : 1.50 kernel)
are these ok, devhook 5 did run ok.
yeeeeeyyy it works :D..
To ^^
Check if you use the correct psar file.. i used the 1.50 one.. and happened to me :P..
i deleted .51 and reinstalled .46 so that i could play my yu gi oh saved game. problem is the game no longer loads.
does it have something to do with the configfile that was flashed during .51 installation?
is there anyway to get this working with hen-d?
Yea, hardrive…. what about hen d?Zitat:

I followed this tutorial, but I don't get the F1 folder. How come? I do the other instructions, but get the BSOD.

Never mind, I now know I need to dump my Flash1. Hopefully I can get it to work in a few minutes.
I followed the guide and it works 100%
i'm on a original fw 1.5 with no modify flash of any kind.
emulating fw 3.01 with DH0.51 with the help of this guide
sounds works fine/visualizer works too!
games works fine
browser works fine
can even enable flash player & wma playback
basically everything is working
only thing is that it will hang after exit from game
problem was not there during 2.71 emulation
Addon: I'm running it with 222mhz :)
hmm there is devhook 0.51 for 2.71 hen-d
http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t=37889
..... but when i try to emulate 3.01 it only goes black and shut off :/
Still got the problem harddrive, I even made A video of what happens
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YugAtT5vXW4
If you skip to 2:25, the error will show around there and BSOD
Thanks for the guide, Hardrive!
This beta version of DH v0.51 works (almost) perfectly on SE-B'' if you follow the instructions exactly.
If you skip the "flash configuration to F1" step then your original PSP settings will get corrupted and DH will come up with the corrupted settings screen so, be sure not to skip that step!
Also, if you end up with the initial settings screen everytime you run DH, format your MS and be sure to run through the step where you have to flash the configuration file. That'll fix the problem.
Apart from that, the only issue I've had is exiting games with the Home button. This crashes the PSP and corrupts DH's PSP settings so that you'll end up with the initial settings screen everytime you run it. A pretty minor problem considering FW 3.01 emulation works now ;)
Runs both my "homebrew" and UMD games fine.
I keep getting an error when trying to view the System Information. Does that happen to anyone else?
The corrupted settings prompt is actually when the system could not find the registry files in the memory stick...
just use x-flash and backup the registry from your psp and copy it to
dh/(firmware emulation folde)/f1/registry
the 2 files to copy there are
-system.dreg
-system.ireg
if u got a old dh installed just copy those two file from the old dh flash1 directory and after installing the new firmware files copy it into the folder and the corrupted settings page will not appear
there is no need to flash the files to the flash actually
PS: I'm writing with what i experience on my fw1.5 PSP with emulation of 3.01
so it might not be the same for other fw version emulation

Dumping my registry and putting in relevant registry folder didn't have any effect. Do I need to rerun the flash?Zitat:

I didn't reflash, but now I can't even get into my PSP to restore settings. Just get BSOD every time it attempts to restore...

At last, got it to work. I did need to flash the dumped reg.
Well, running 2.71 SE-B'' I followed your instructions and it ended up creating the error screen and corrupting all my PSP settings. I had to setup all my settings again in my original FW.Zitat:
Zitat von nitestarzz
So, I guess that doesn't work on 2.71 SE-B''. Users of this FW will just have to flash settings to F1.
Yeah, I'm on SE-C and I had to flash system registry as well. Works perfectly now.Zitat:

Yes, I know I'm a big girl but can I brick my PSP installing the flash files to Flash1 and if so, is there an alternative?
EDIT ~ Used common sense, copied Flash1 fiels from 2.71 to 301 and worked PERFECTLY
I think I'm right in saying that you can only brick it by writing to Flash0
No, it won't brick your PSP so don't worry.Zitat:
Zitat von FLai
Flash 0 folder is where the BIOS is kept, the crucial piece of software that makes your PSP run.
Flash 1 folder is the flash memory which contains all your PSP settings and wallpapers etc.
I installed the new devhook .51, everything seems to run just fine, overclocking works like a charm as well. There is just one problem tho. Whenever I try to exit a game via the home button, the psp shuts down instead of exiting the game back to the main psp menu. Does this happen to anyone else? It's a tad frustrating to have to boot the psp everytime I want to play a different umd game with firmwares higher than 1.50
doesnt work at all
period
i followed the directions word by word and i jsut get a black screen
kerimeton: this DEFINATELY works on 2.71 SE-C...for awhile I was having internet errors (80410D17) but I just reinstalled and now works perfectly
im on SE-C, and it wont work, i tried so much stuff, and all i get is a darn black screen
i dumped with "X" (as it says in the instrutions)
i dumped with "[]"
i flashed my config files, with hte one from the devhook folder
and with my own flash1 dump
i dont know, i wont work
Question Answered
please help me, i dont know why this dont work, im follwoing the guide exactly
PS1 emulation does not work.
It shows a disclaimer saying things might not work as they did on a PS1, hangs, then turns off.
And the whole having to reset your system details everytime you go into devhook sucks.
Yes I know I just didn't want an endless blue screen loop or something.Zitat:

Im in 1.50 but whenever i try to load this i follow your instructions but it keeps taking me too a setup screen that says intial setup. Can anyone help :s
hey guys,
i followed the instructions and now iam stuck with flashing.
i pressed the circle button longer than 1 sec and flashing started.i am waiting already 10 min but my psp is stuck with:
---- directory ms0:/dh/301/f1/dic
and nothing happens.does anybody has maybe an idea?
regards
redsun100
ok, i did it :)
thx
I flashed the config file and still can't get WiFi working. I've restore default settings. I've reinstalled and re-dumped. What could I be doing wrong?
Don't use any combined installers, i found that to be my downfallZitat:
Zitat von kerimeton
Used the extracted psar file (from a bundle) and then psar'd it, but other than that you need to do the work yourself or you get a black screen followed by shut down.
Please. Can someone help me.
Anyone figure out why booting ripped games keep crashing for some people? I got 3.01 loaded and running (WiFi + web browser works too) but my PSP keeps crashing whenever I try to load a ISO/CSO (ripped from UMD's that I already own, of course).
well i followed the ins. but still DAMN IT doesnt work!!! i donno what the prob. is... i uninstalled and installed it like more than 5 times and still doesnt work...
i am using a v1.5 and hargey's custom fw...
