What can I do with it if I get this DevHook installed to my PSP? Im really new to this stuff. Appreciate who can help me ard.
My problem is that I can't get games to boot up all the time. i have no problem booting into 3.1, everything works and all, but when I load a game, sometimes it will load and other times it will now.
I will boot the game, then it will show the PSP logo, then freeze and shut off. And other times, trying to boot the same game, it will boot up normal.
ANyone else having this problem? How can I fix this?
And when I do get a game to finally load, when I try to load the saved game data, it says load failed, the data is currupted. WTF?
The savedata for me was Socom 2, I played when I was on .46 and when I load it up on .51. It becomes corrupted. I think 3.01 prevents from copy savedatas now.Zitat:

X and O buttons are switched for me as well. first i tried the pbp file on qj.net, then i tried the pbp file direct from sony - the buttons are still swapped. i have a US retail PSP system, not a japanese system by any means. this new devhook is unfortunately unusable to me
much like post #763 (Kill Crazy) everything works fine, and game/iso, whatever loads... ONCE. If I back out of a game and try to enter it, (or a different game) again, it shows the psp gameboot logo, stalls, crash. I have found that reloading a copy of the "f1" solves the problem, but again, for one load. It sucks because you need to be connected to a pc to do this everytime I want to change games. (not great if you're out and about...) There's really not much in a f1 folder, so what's to deal? Any thoughts? I'm totally loving this new devhook, but with my game ADD, this snag is killing me!
Oh, and just running devhook .51 on a 1.5fw
this will swap the xo buttons and make them how they should be thanks to andysmith in this thread for his help.Zitat:

I was wondering how long the DevHook 0.51 update take for u guys...i mean the flashi
Okay. So I got something called Devhook Auto-Extractor. You just decrypt 3.01 with PSAR Dumper. And it does the rest. No button swapping. Just perfect 3.01 emulation.
ok, so if you don't use the home button to exit games, but instead do a HARD reload, (ugh) you can load games more than once... Has this popped up somewhere else? I seem to remember somebody saying something about the home button messing up...( I thought it was in relation to loading ps1 games, though...) Is there any non-game specific way to exit a game without using Home? Maybe it's something bugging with the DH .51 menu, in which case maybe .52 will fix this....Zitat:

I hexedited the 3.01 firmware installer so it installs firmware 3.02. It still installs the files to the 3.01 folder. I tested this on my 2.71 TA-082 psp and it worked perfect the first time just like the 3.01 firmware installer did.
There's hope for TA-082 psp's. I still wouldnt attempt it thats why id need 2 one for devhooks and firmware homebrewing and 1 for just regular clean psp.Zitat:

Nice going. :)
I ran the "easy" method, but I just get the "settings are corrupted" screen when Devhook tries to run the new firmware. Any ideas?
my buttons were switched but someone on here managed to play around with the registry files and swapped them back and then posted the file on here. it worked like a charm. and i have some more good news. i havent noticed anyone one else asking but nester j for devhook works on 3.01 which surprised me. booster, dark_alex, and all the other developers are all my new heroes.

and i heard you can get devhook to work with 3.02 now. how do you do that? just out of curiosity cause i know its not really any different than 3.01.
I have a ta-082 PSP with FW 2.71. Which of the two tutorial versions should i use??? I tried installing henD and devhook 0.51 BETA for 2.71 and everything seemed to be going well. When i run HenD then go into devhook and try to start the 3.01 firmware it stays on a black screen saying:
startup the devhook
save the launcher setting
loading devhook
DH Ver. :0.51.000
reboot system
.... and that's about it. I have to turn off the power and when it reboots it goes back to good old 2.71 like nothing ever happened. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance and happy holidays!
I installed DH .51 with the easy installer with no problems! My games load correctly! I do have one problem though...
I cant load any of my saved game data from (unless I started a new profile and saved since after installing DH .51). I have alot of saved games I want to play, and I can't! Pleas help!!!
BTW I have FW 1.50 and I installed DH .51 on a freshly formatted card.
I have tried 0.50 installation when .50 comes up, cannt make it.
And tried the 0.51(all in one) as the guide said, still doesnt work, the psp will shut down when I launch the devhook and cannot even see the menu of devhook. very strange.
I am using se271-c, and my psp is from taiwan (psp-1007) .Iis there anyone can help me with that?
hi all
i have psp with IC1003, firmware 3.01. It is possible to have devhook installed
or any other program to play ISO games ?
Please help.
i also have problems exiting umd or isos to xmb.. and read the post above.. now i got the 1.50 reboot.bin using psar dumper and press "X" to decrypt the data.psar with sig check or something.. then ? where should i put the reboot.bin in the memory stick ?..Zitat:

No. And don't ask about ISOs. And as of this time. No homebrew. None. Runs on 3.0X.Zitat:

And I got 3.02 emulated as well. With no problems. :D
So.. are you saying that the auto installer works with 3.02 eboot ?Zitat:
Zitat von TheMysteriousThug
The auto installer? Nope it just gets the right flash1 files. You have to do the copying work with the flash0 stuff yourself.
oh okay.. how about my post at #782.. you know anything about it ?
reboot.bin goes in the f0 folder.
so i cut n paste or copy n paste to dh/301/f0 ?
Yup .
nope it just gave me a black screen when starting devhook with 3.01.. so i just copied the 301 reboot.bin back to its f0 folder..
got lost in the sheer number of pages and apologies if it is a repost.
I have followed the steps and everything works fine, i.e. able to emulate fw3.01 using devhook 0.51. Only problem is that when I quit an application using 'home' button, it gets stuck on the "Please Wait" screen and then the PSP turns itself off. Boots back up on fw1.50.
What have I done wrong?
yup.. thats the very problem im having now.. heheh.. everything works fine though, except quiting umd/isos to xmb..
GREAT!! Thanks! hope a usb version now!!
is there any chance that ur psp can get bricked while doing this?
How do you load your custom prxs with this version?
i couldnt get it to work myself, so i used the installer, but it wont work either
says something about not being able to create an out folder
Damn, 80 screens of posts and this has been out like, a day.
Great piece of work all around.
Too lazy to read through the whole thread, so forgive me if this is a repost, but it might be added that the 301 update has to be named eboot.pbp - the copy I downloaded from here was named 'update_3.01.pbp' and didn't work till I renamed it.
Also, it seems the X and O buttons have switched functionality - I used to use X to confirm and O to go back, and now that's reversed. Is that because that's how the Japanese version is defaulted? Any easy way to switch it back?
I'll make that chance, I noticed it as well. Here is the fix to the button swap issue:Zitat:

Hi there i seem to have a problem. everytime i go to run the extractor it tells me the data is courrpt? I have downloaded and extracted the files a few times but seems to be courrpt everytime i put it on the PSP? what's going on ?
Are you extracting the "Data.psar" file? Are you using the latest dumper provided in hardrives link? Also did you download the update completely?Zitat:
