okay so i tried reinstalled devhook again.. but this time i installed it to a clean SEC (that means i recovered back to 1.50 and installed SEC again from scratch).. then i installed devhook with 301 firmware.. still crashing everytime i quiting umd/isos to xmb.. tried the 302 firmware, basically just the same with 301 firmware, still not working.. everything else is working fine though.. but it just annoying that i cant go back to xmb.. oh and the corrupted saved data too..
hi i ran the auto installer and pressed x when prompted... then when it was done, an error occurred regarding being unable to output report to out folder... can anyone help me with this? sorry if this has been asked before... thanks a lot!
I have a question:
What's the difference between the easy way and the normal way?
I mean, I can see that the normal way uses flashing, and the easy way doesn't
flash, so what does the flashing accomplish?
I have the same problem as aruzith with se-c. It's driving me nuts trying to fix it.

still nothing it says unable to open update sure its there
im like YES I KNOW ITS THERE IV JUST PUT IT THERE
what am i doing wrong ?
It's one of two scenarios.
1) It's not in the root folder. Make sure that the EBOOT.PBP is next to the PSP folder in directory view.
2) Your extensions are messed up (your PC recognises .PBP, so it hides it). Try renaming it to just EBOOT
DUDE YOU RULE twas the extensions
damn now it sayss cant create file report or out folder stick may be full
well its really not ?? 900mb??
ey it worked only one question: First i had -X- for accept and -O- for decline but now its they other way around how do you change it??
sorry my bad
forgot to create f0 and f1
but still wont boot
i get some white writing saying
devhook051000
(random numbers here)
reboot system
then shuts off
for all the ppl wondering about the x and o
i think that it's not the u.s. update, if someone could upload the u.s. update, it might fix it
actually it is the us update and it still switches the buttons. i think it may be the installer that does that though. if you do everything yourself i dont think youd have that problem but i dont know cause i havent tried it. anyways theres a way to fix it someone posted some fixed registry files on here. oh and how do you emulate 3.02? do i just use the 3.02 update eboot in place of the 3.01 eboot?
HELP PLEEEEESE got to give mates psp back tomorrow
devhook 0.51 at 3.01 runs alot slower then 0.46 with 2.71. Is that because I didn't want to flash any files (I used the installer, so it wasn't necessary from what I understand in this tutorial). And devhook/3.01 crashes when I put an umd in the drive when I have mounted a .dax file (possibly also with other file types, haven't tested yet). Do others also experience these problems, and what can I do to solve them? (is it safe to flash to flash1?)
thanks in advance :)
hey peeps, I am having a weird problem, when i oush X on the 3.01 DH FW Installer, it goes, "This is not a 3.01 eboot file" or something along that line.
I downloaded the eboot from QJ. I have renamed it to EBOOT.PBP and have placed in th eroot directory. So what's going on here? I might've missed a reply, I looked through all the pages but i might have missed it? But please help me out soon. So desperate to get this working lol.
PS: My PSP is fw 1.5 and I am positiv that I downloaded the right update boot file.
try just naming it EBOOTZitat:
Zitat von mds88
OK YAY
ITS F****n working
reinstalled DH
used f1 from 2.71 dump
:)

eboot directory ??Zitat:
Zitat von mds88
put the update in the root
in the same place as psp
not in a folder
as soon as you open the psp mem card after "autoplay" put it there
if EBOOT.PBP dont work
try just EBOOT
if it crashes when you load devhook
use a previous DH dump ( preperably a 2.71 )for the f1
I had some problems when I tried the installer way on my nephew's psp, so I did it the OG gangster way and works flawsless. HD and the rest, thank you so much for this, your work proves that the psp scene is so far from dead. Thanks again.

Then what is THIS guide for? This is what I don't get? I'm running 2.71 too and am getting the same errors as Kevin013
edit - OK I'm following that guide now. but i don't have a 1.50 dump is it possible to use a 3.01 update instead in place of it?

YAh, dont downgrade is then since you probably have TA-082 mobo which doesnt allow downgrading.Zitat:

i think since im always afraid of screwing up, From previous computer building experiences.
I dont know for my first time ill use devhooks , and other homebrew fun. Plus the psp may have the infamous TA-082 motherboard.
Hello,
I have used the easy installer (method 1) and after finishing the method I have observed that O was changed by X in my PSP. Someone know if EBOOT.PBP from this site is the Japanese versión of 3.01 update?
Thank you so much.
how can i remove devhook .51?
just format the memory stick or i have to do something else?
thx..
The "update EBOOT" i think its um not japanese. But the xo button changer is japanese registry but it fixes the problem making x confirm and o cancel.Zitat:
Zitat von Laura
heres andysmith's registry .zip This fixes the xo swap up. http://forums.qj.net/attachment.php?...6&d=1165374311
There's also a readme in there.
Andysmith also said this for the extended help : I also had the button swap issue. So I edited the system.dreg file written by the installer in a hex editor (button_assign), then rebuilt the system.ireg using fixupdreg3. I've attached the patched files to this post.
Just download, unzip and overwrite the files in /dh/301/f1/registry.
hey how come it restarts the game everytime i go to install online patch and anohter thing how come whenever i save the next time i open my psp it is currupt...i have a 1.50 running 3.01....
thanks
Removing devhook .51 i have no clue, if you format your memory if itll get rid of .51. Im not sure if it will since im not even a psp user but soon to be one.Zitat:
Zitat von pl4t
you could go to google also and type in "uninstalling device hook"
and it may have more results to your solution since im not really on par with the Homebrew world yet.
