retain all the folders that were contained within the original dh510000000 rar file. i just finished installing devhook and noticed that at the root of the memstick the f0 folder is empty. i deleted it, and nothing bad happened. also, there was a psardumper folder that was empty as well and after deleting it nothing bad occured either.......be warned that i can't recall if the psardumper folder was in the root also so you may have to look for it........or not.

obviously, you can delete the eboot for the 3.01 update. that's pretty much all i can think of......actually you can delete the 3.01 fw firmware auto-installer folders within the game folder.

i did the method1 and the X and O buttons were swapped in the XMB (X=cancel, O=confirm)

so i used the file to swap the X and O and it was finally corrected being X=confirm and O=cancel

thanks, everything works perfect

i can use devhook menu while in XMB to swap emulation files (ie isos) and they all load/reload when i exit using home in game

Arg. might want to actually LET people know about that in the guide >_< this is very fustrating and i'm sure it will for alot of people.

I followed the quide, installed the DH 0.51 but when i launch him there is a message that the game could not be started and that so i can't continue.What i am doing wrong?

if u followed the guide then how can we know what u did wrong? well its a BETA it might now work

What does it mean? does it mean the installer will flash the PSP automaticly or does it mean there's no actual Flashing Require?

what firmware r you running?

I have installed .51 successfully, everything works fine. Almost everything. There is a problem with RSS channels - I tried to add numerous RSS channels, PSP says the channel was added successfully. But when I open Network - RSS, it says that "there are no channels available, so would you like to see how to add a channel" stuff. Is it a problem with DH, or something else?

Just re-installed using method 1 and am still facing the same issue. i.e. after launching UMD/ISO via DH, I get stuck at 'please wait' screen after pressing home.

I am just wondering:
a) Does the preload address have anything to do with this?
b) Do I need to do anything with the flash install?

EDIT: Seem to have fixed it after mucking around with the settings. I believe it was to do with the preload address.

can any 1 help me im trying to get dev to work on 1.5 frim ware but i get to the boot screem amd my power light blinks and then is shuts down any help would b gr8 ty veary much sorry 4 any spelling mistakes lol im a noob as well so if u could help in dumbed down trems would b gr8

hi. i have a 2.71 normal psp. and i got everything to work i guess and i have to emulate 1.5 but when i clikc emulate 3.01 in devhook .051 it just goes back to the normal emulated 1.5 can someone help me please i did everything i used the 3.01 eboot and the eboot unpacker and then i said done but while i was doing it it keep saying it was righting stuff the the flash and stuff and after a minute it went back to 1.5 screen and then i went to devhook and it didnt work. thanks in advace i hope to be able to play mgspo's soon

And other thing is that in your 302FWINSTALLER.rar had %__SCE__301_dh_fw_install er and __SCE__301_dh_fw_installe r folders inside...nothing about :Punk:302???

heyy pepz , i jus installed devhook 51 and the firmware update 3.01, then i accessed devook and picked firmware 3.01........now its just stuck on the start up screen, which is mostly black and i can vaugly see the the start up ''sony computer entertainment''
any help :(:(

which one allows to be able to escape from game with the home button?

it's says ( looking for updateEboot on ms/eboot.pbp
unable to open update eboot sure it's there....

ummmmmmmm look at the error itself......did you actually NAME the update file to "EBOOT.PBP"? instructions were pretty clear to rename it if you're downloading it for the QJ download site.

yes i did...does it mean anythin that i'm already tried that other method...flash thing..without success too...

i got japanese psp which once has 1.60 fw, them i've raised thet to 2.71 then back to 1.50

I have used devhook 0.44 without problemos whatsoever... but now that MSG PO games makes me wonder nothings never enough:tup:

is there any way to enable wma and flash play back without connecting to the net?

I'm on 2.71SE-C, and everytime I go to System Settings, I get BSOD when in 3.02, yet I followed the instructions. f1 was not made by DevHook, and I had to dump my flash 1 and registry like I did for 3.01 to get it to work, but it doesn't with 3.02. Any reason?

every time i try to load up MGS PO it just gives me that black screen then shuts off..
I managed to just getonto the 3.01 xmb but when i try to load the game the UMD icon wont come up..:(

Sounds like a bad dump, i had that same prob before the eboot installer.

put in your demo UMD, your prob so used to noumd emulation that you forgot that this devhook beta requires one to be in the drive. Thats how it is for me.

well just putting it out there..........as far as exiting a game is concerned, there's nothing that can be done to make a game exit successfully when using the home button. have tested it with a few ISOs/CSOs that i have and i've yet to try out actual UMD games that i do own, but i'm expecting the same result. some do exit correctly, some do not. IMO 3.0x firmware updates may not be implemented in upcoming games seeing how most are still being developed with the 2.8x firmware securities in mind......so maybe it's a better idea to improve on a recent build of DH rather than hastily trying to get the latest firmware emulating.

i followed all the instructions for method 1-The all-in-one Eboot..
all the files, folders are in the right place..
when i try to launch 3.01 DH FW Installer it goes the PSP screen and stays there for a while..then it shuts off

Nope i had a umd in the drive

My psp boots to the 3.01 firmware just fine the problem is I cant connect to the internet or select my game. Correct me if im wrong but the game either iso or cso goes in the psp/iso right? Also when running the umd disc my psp shut downs before it starts. What do you think is happenning?

can i put his devhook version? with what procedure should i do it?

with this devhook 0.51 you can play games with version 2.81?

I'm with marv here, my 3.02 installed fine, but i get the BSoD even after replacing the flash1 files.

WHOA!! Major Problem! :O

I'm on SE-C, and when I put the 3.02 FW installer folders in the GAME150 folders, they show up as corruped icons (but everything else works). So I moved the 2 folders to the GAME folder, and the corrupted Icon thing dissapeared and I could launch the FW installer. But when I run it, it stays at the PSP logo and the PSP shuts off...I redownloaded, and tried again, and even downloaded the 3.01 FW installer instead but no luck twice :(

yea thats the same thing that happens to me..
when i try to launch the fw installer i get the psp logo..then shuts off..

UPDATE: Ok to fix this, open up the recovery thing in SE-C and change the 2.71 kernel to 1.5 kernel, then move all of the folders to the GAME folder. Run the FW installer

Here is my problem: After installing the FW and running devhook, I selected 3.02 (downloaded the 3.02 US FW - renamed to EBOOT.PBP in the root of the mem stick) and hit Start Devhook but the PSP screen turned black and the PSP shut off... FTW! THIS NEVER ENDS FOR ME! :(

UPDATE#2: FIX: Select 3.01 in the Devhook firmware selection menu even if you used 3.02 like me...then start Devhook, go into System Settings, and it should say 3.02! :D

Is it save to do the new 3.02 installer, and do the JP eboot, even though im on a US psp?

I just did it and it works great, but I cant play brothers in arms, it may be a bad dump.

Hey, I got the latest DH installed with 3.01 firmware on it ... tell me something, is there any way to have the DH firmware load up on startup rather than loading up the PSP and having to start it from 1.5?

i had the smae problem as you. heres how i fixed it.

create an f1 folder and make the structure like this:

f1
||->dic
||
||->gps
|
||->net
||--||->http
||
||->registry
||
||->vsh
||--||->theme

make sure that the folders are empty and i mean all of them. then try and boot your devhook to 3.01

you can use either procedure in the first post. and yes you can play games with version 2.81 even 3.02 if you emulate those firmwares.

Sadly none of them. Looks like it was by pure fluke that it worked when I used 8900000 but I can't seem to do it anymore. I keep getting stuck at the 'please wait' screen which is annoying the crap out of me.

A quick questions. Why does the installation method 1 (simple one) not require you to flash F1 while the method 2 does? What benefit do you get by flashing F1?

Other than that, I have no idea what else I can do. Am tempted to switch back to an older DH version since I don't really need FW3.01 yet.
