Well I fixed my problem. It was 2.71 se-c I think.
I went back to 1.5, used the auto installer, and it worked.
To all using 2.71 unable to devhook, go back to 1.5 and use the auto installer.
well that will be an alternative for me. i still havent tried ths

Hi all, I'm a complete novice at this playing around with software but have succesfully used the all in one eboot method and now have fw 3.01. Only trouble is now what do i do? Can i use any game iso and if so where does it go and how do i get it to run? Thanks in advance from a hopeful amateur

just describing my experience so far. it might get long, or it won't i'm not sure yet.
installation was a snap. put dh.51.0100 on the MS as well as the auto installer and the 3.02 eboot. i proceeded to bootup devhook after installation; the only setting i touched was the firmware version that i wanted. 3.02 proceeded to load and took me to the "Corrupt settings" blue screen at which time i pressed the "O" button to default the settings. everything seems fine........input the nickname, set up network connections, set UMD Auto-Start to off, and the like.
as a test i popped in the UMD sampler disc and it ran. i exited using the "Home" button with no errors occuring. i figured i'd try out an actual game so i popped in the Killzone liberation demo disc, but it failed to boot up when choosing it within "Game". as expected, my PSP shut off momentarily.
i went ahead to turn back on the PSP, but then the "Corrupt Settings" blue screen came on again. at this point i started freaking out because i was thinking DH may have done something bad to the base 1.5fw i have. in any case, i went ahead and set back up all the usual settings within fw1.5 and then proceeded to boot up devhook again. once again, i didn't touch any settings except for one other: an option for "UMD AutoBoot" within devhook (i believe that's the name of the option). i enabled it to test out the KL demo disc again.
3.02 proceeded to load and did in fact boot up the game. again, i played a little bit of the game and then tried seeing if i could exit again with the "Home" button. SUCCESS. i then proceeded to pop in my Tekken DR umd and played one session of story mode with NOTHING wrong occuring during the process. once again, exitted with "Home" and successful again.
i've yet to start testing with ISOs, but i do in fact feel confident that since my legit UMDs worked well in devhook, that ISOs/CSOs will work just as well.
i'm no expert, but i think that the "UMD Autoboot" setting within devhook fixes game issues (again, i THINK that's the name of the option within devhook). i'm working off of coincidence here, so it'a long shot, but hopefully the other games i have will start working with this beta devhook.
Question:
I already have DevHook .5, as well as .4 launcher for 2.71. I also tried installing SVCapture v0.3 last night which I believe somehow alters DevHook?Do I need to remove these or anything before installing DevHook .51, or can I just install .51 with all this stuff on here as is?

I have a PSP with v1.50 firmware and followed the easy instructions. I went with the v3.02 firmware. When I load the devhook menu, I select "3.02" in the firmware and then click "start devhook." I get the black screen with the white text that says:
start devhook
save launcher setting
loading devhook
dh version 0.51.000
reboot system
After a few seconds the screen goes blank. Then, after a few more seconds, the PSP shuts off. When I restart the PSP devhook is not loaded and the system information still shows the firmware as 1.50.
Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

having trouble installing devhook dev 0.51.0100 on 2.71se-c psp.
I put 3.01 Update Eboot in the root folder under the name eboot.pbp as per method 1 instructions
I then used 301_DH_FW_INSTALLER.rar and Devhook0510100.rar to create in \psp\game150 the folders,

\__SCE__301_dh_fw_install er
Next I ran 3.01 dh fw installer
after a short while the psp shut itself off . I didn't think anything of it because the readme says:
"Wait for the Loading Screen and once asked hit [X] again then wait till the psp reboots."
I then restarted the psp and went to the next step by opening devhook0.51 launcher beta
again, after a short while the psp shut itself off again
I turn back on the psp, go into system iformation and it says i'm still running 2.71se-c.
I redid the whole process a number of times but its still doing the same thing. I'm stumped as to how to fix things.
EDIT: Fixed it. the game folder must be present or it crashes. What I did when I tried to troubleshoot it by trial and error, was just rename the game folder.
I got that error days ago, its the 3.02 dump, create it againZitat:

about 8 times i tried the method 1 on my 1.5 psp, followed the guide to the T, didnt work once, i restores my factory defaults, formatted my memstick and then used the second method, wroked first time!

i used the 3.02 dump creater and it created a dump. then i went to devhook. i pressed start devhook it goes through the thing and saying:
Start up devhook
save lancher settings
loading devhook
dev. version 00.45.00
startup devhook
then it just goes back to 1.50 menu. if you know anything please help! by the way i am emulating 1.50 from my 2.71 psp
you can't launch the new version of Devhook from an emulated 1.50
You can however use D_A port of Devhook0.51 to emulate 3.01 directly from 2.71

I tried installing the easy way, and it worked the first time, until i selected "traditional chinese" as language and it froze on me, then the black background showed on me like everyone else did.
How I fixed:
-I got that black background, I shutoff my PSP manually.
-I boot up with 1.50 and run devhook
-memory install: flash01: install config files
-select firmware 3.01
-boot eboot and worked for me.
if not, try repeating memory install, but this time, instead of installing directly, uninstall first, THEN install config files, then boot up. (make sure there's a UMD in, not sure if this matters)
those steps worked for me, good luck to everyone else!!:PC:
The auto installer isn't under "Game" on my PSP menu; all thats there is a corrupt icon, please help.
Running 2.71 SE-C
I used DH0510100 and DHFW302Installer and 3.02 eboot.
The only firmware that works is 3.02 emulation, how can i get others like 2.71 etc to work as well?

No. Devhook doesn't work on 2.6 and you have to be at 1.5 in order to have 2.71 SE (threrefore, if you're able to downgrade).Zitat:

Something weird is happening. aFTER i GOT dEVhOOK .51 working, on fw1.5 there are games that are blank and have no name. Can I get rid of them or is that the %whatervergame folders?

I have DH0510100 which is the .51 update, however when i tried updating to 3.02 i got BSOD(restore settings).
How do i go from 3.01 to 3.02 without formatting my stick and startting again?
Is there still no one who can tell me why I only can use firmware 3.01 (select it in devhook, only then it works) but used the instructions for 3.02. Is it normal that the installer which I've downloaded called "3.01 installer" in the game menu but when I use it then I can read that it is the installer for 3.02?
