Hi,
Yes you have to delete the old version of your devhook, bricking? I dont think so. Why dont you go for DA 3.03 OE.
thanks alot.. i have successfully install devhook 0.51.. i wanted to go 4 3.03 OE but i scare i might brick it cos i just bought it a wk ago.. any recommendation for super noob guide installation 4 3.03 oe ?
I just installed devhook .51 and i ran it, every things ok so far. i did all my settings and selected "Start devhook". it said "saving settings" and "rebooting" and then the screen went black for about 45 secs. It turned off. after about 5 mins i turned it back on i was back to where i started. devhook did nothing. Whats going on?

never mind
I successfully installed devhook .51. When i play game and wanted to exit the game by pressing 'home' button and select 'yes',my psp automaticly switch off. When I turned it on, my psp in ver. 1.50 not 3.01. It happen several time but not everytime. Is this normal?
Its not normal.
The crashing when leaving games seems to be a random problem.
I was able to exit without it crashing. I'm not sure what other people were doing wrong.
Is this supposed to happen? Are you supposed to boot up the DevHook everytime you turn off your PSP? Also, It says:
vshex DEVHOOK SETTING MENU
UMD IMAGE: UMD DISC
CPU CLOCK: Default
UMD SFO VER: ON
PRELOAD ADDR: 89200000
FIRMWARE: NOT SUPPORTED???? UHUH?
REMOTE PORT: NOT SUPPORTED
After you boot finished.
You can leave your psp in sleep mode while in devhook. Also yes thats normal that just a addon to devhook. Some options you cannot change while emulating so thats why it says unsupported.
i have version 2.80 and when i try to launch psar dumper in step 9 my psp just turns off :S any help?
Your psp is version 2.8? you need to downgrade then
http://forums.qj.net/f-psp-hacks-9/t...ted-90301.html
Once you downgrade you can either use devhook or the custom firmware 3.03 OE

Can I emulate 1.5 from 3.03 OE-C?
nice guide ...
Goes to reboot for me, and then just pauses before shutting itself down...
Looks like I am stuck with using .46 and only emulating 2.71... doh! sooo wanted to play Pirates too!! haha.
anyone know if it works for 3.03 OEC?
im pretty new to this psp devhook business and i have no idea where to start...can anyone help please? i tried using the devhook 0.51 installer which pretty much extracted all the files to my psp root but then when i tried launchin it...it sez corrupt file. the firmware i currently have is 2.81. would really appreciate it if someone could run me through how to do it. thanks.
Hi,
I am new to this forum so i guess this is HI to everyone!! I am also new to this firmware craze i have just downloaded my psp to v1.5 then flashed it to 3.03OE C and everything works fine except for some games that state "Crupted file/data" in the games option under memory card if anyone could help me clear it up so that it could be played that would be great!!
I have changed the Kernal > 1.50 but as i previously had Eloader 0.99 installed and was using some of the games through that (homebrews) as they worked fine,
But also i was wanting to install Devhook 0.52 onto my psp but i aleady have fw 3.03OE C when installing this would i still need to psar dump my psp?
Also would i need to re-flash my fw to 3.03OE c again or will i just be able to install Devhook 0.52 and leave it at that?
anyone know if it works for 2.80 with HEN_280?
Can someone please link me to a way to install devhook on 3.10oe-a please? Im sorry to ask but I keep finding tutorials and Im not sure if they are the right one I need. An easy installer that works with 3.10oe-a would be cool...
This tutorial should work regardless of what firmware you are using.
So just give it a try
The one thing i was wondering was, how do i go about using the next release of devhook(0.52 i think and 3.03FW)? is there a simple way to remove the one that i have put on and the firmware(0.51 and 3.01)?
Yes. The simplest way to uninstall old versions of Devhook is to hit the delete key.
But before you do that, if you have installed anything to flash using Devhook, uninstall it first.
Hey guys first post here too.
A guy linked me to this post when i was asking if it were possible to run stuff through the USB cable from either a pc or portable hdd and was wondering do i need to totally reflash my psp to use devhook or is it just like a piece of homebrew and just put it in the GAME150 folder, and from there just use the USB hdd mode or what ever it is?
Thanks guys
Devhook is not what you need.
I think you need IRshell.
And both Devhook and IRshell are homebrew applications.
Thanks mate ill go looking for that then.Zitat:

could you update the guide for devhook 0.52? thanks hard drive
The process should be the same.
The only updates would be in name.
I'm having a really frustrating problem.
My friend got a 1.5 firmware PSP. I told him I would set up the files he needed for Devhook.
So I use psar-dumper to dump the contents of a 3.02 update. I put the dumped files in the 302 folder of the DH folder. I then packaged the modified DH folder with the fbm and Devhook 0.52. I made it so all he would have to do was simply extract everything to the root of the memory stick.
Then this weird thing happens. He gets the files and extracts them to the root of the stick. I guide him along over the phone by doing the same thing. We both extracted everything to the root, started Devhook, selected 3.02 firmware, installed config file to flash1, and launched Devhook.
The strange thing is, is that it worked for me and not him. He said he got no errors while installing the config file to flash1. Yet when he went to launch Devhook, it displayed the normal information and went to a black screen. Then the PSP turned off. I told him to go back into Devhook and uninstall the config file from flash1 then try reinstalling it. Still no luck.
We have been trying to get this to work for hours. I tried uninstalling the config file from my flash1 and reinstalling it. It worked for when I launched Devhook.
I need some help, I have no idea what he is doing wrong.
a question here... i tried all the steps but my computer had a virus so I reformatted my memstick.. and my pc.. then i followed all the steps but the install devhook command doesn't show up anymore? how come?
please update for devhook 0.52!
can anyone confirm if this work on 3.03 oe-c?
My thread 3.03 oe-c and devhook
http://forums.qj.net/f-psp-homebrew-...ook-95630.html
Devhook will work on 3.03 OE-C fine
Hi,
I am sorry but How can I make Pro evolution soccer 2007 works in devhook 3.01. it boots and give a balck screen at the end.
Thanks,
I was wondering if someone could confirm a few things for me about uninstalling devhook 0.51 and FW 3.01.
Just to start off i went for the easy option of (Method 1: The all-in-one Eboot) from this guide when i installed it. (I am on fw1.5 if that makes any difference)
On reading some of the threads about uninstalling devhook i know that i have to clear the flash if i have written to it.
What i was wondering is in the flash install menu which one do i press uninstall on? flash1 or flash0 is there an easy way to check which one i need to do? or do i do both?
I realise that this is probably a stupid question but i thought it's better to check, than to just try without being sure.
any help would be great as i plan to upgrade to 3.10 OE-A some time soon and wasn't sure it would effect the install so i would rather start with a clean 1.5.
oh MY GOD......
So many facts and figures and i am still LOST...
Help me please..
I love my PSP and want to make the most out of it... so here i go.
If i download a game and want to play it on my PSP how do i do it first (has to be simple because i am stupid)
Do i need to down grade my PSP to 1.5 ?
if i do can i still play my UMD games ?
Is there a program that does every thing for you ?
I know all this has been probley asked a thousand times but i have just read 124 pages and am still no wiser.
Please help a stupid newbie....
AHHH feel better now i have got that of my chest.
Thanks to you all in advance.
You can't ask that here and no one can answer it.Zitat:

To run devhook? read the first page in the spoiler tags it tells you the versions it's confirmed to work on (although i don't think that has been updated for a while.)Zitat:

Using the guide in this thread you can still play any UMD game as long as you put a firmware on that is recent enough for the UMD game (e.g Fw 3.02 should cover nearly every game released)Zitat:

What do you mean? installing devhook and the Firmware? follow the steps in the guide, the first method it takes less than 10 minutes and if you take your time and re-read the steps and double check before doing them it's hard for you to mess it up.Zitat:

iv bin following method 1 and things have been going smoothly. once i thought i was done. i select the 3.01 DH FW installer and i press 'X' and it says unable to open update eboot. sure its there ?! reboot in 10 seconds. (thats what it said more or less)
now my eboot is in the root of the memory stick and iv correctly name it EBOOT.PBP and it still doesnt work. any advise? cheers in advance! :)
